Why does everything have to be an "agenda" with you?

Because if you don't agree with Big Pete (or porthoz, or many others), or simply having an opinion you stick to and regularly repeat, it's an agenda...

It's a term people use to try and belittle your views. A bit like the way the term "denier" is used in some other arguments [icon_wink
Last time I checked, that's the definition of an agenda. [icon_razz1

Re: Wade McKinnon

I just brought it up because his game last night was a shocker. And no one should be surprised really. Just more proof that I'm always right is all.

a list, plan, outline, or the like, of things to be done, matters to be acted or voted upon

So, what's my plan, outline, things to be done by being justifiable critical of an underperforming Peter Wallace? [icon_wink

The term is misused. Pure and simple.

Re: Wade McKinnon

Yeah...people like to try and sound smarter than they are.

We could have Peter Wallace & Wade mcKinnon on an agenda for the days discussions Coxy.

But talking abou them is not an agenda. [icon_shru

Re: Wade McKinnon

Always been right?

You do realise he's lost half his speed, basically one of his best assets yeah?

It's like if I brought up a Jason Cayless game from last season to say he was the worst prop ever. Both are past it.

Apparently I have a Kemp agenda just because I don't think he's the awesome winger everybody on here thinks he is. [icon_shru

I think they are half joking, surely. otherwise, I'm totally with you on this.

I've been talking about McKinnon's uselessness since he was at the EELS.

No, you don't have an agenda. You have an opinion that you strongly believe. And you're entitled to that.

And being a forum, you're entitled to discuss it.

One would even say if he wanted to discuss it in particular he could put it in an agenda

Hmm, you may have forgotten something... See point 3 below: [icon_razz1

a·gen·da [? jénd?]

noun (plural a·gen·das)
1. list of things to do: a formal list of things to be done in a specific order, especially a list of things to be discussed at a meeting

2. matters needing attention: the various matters that somebody needs to deal with at a specific time
•What's your agenda for today?

3. personal motivation: an underlying personal viewpoint or bias
•Of course she's in favor, but then she has her own agenda.

Braith Anasta anyone?

Just because Anasta had number 1 on his back for a few games, doesn't make him a fullback. That's like trying to argue that Todd Carney is a fullback cause he played a few games there.

I've been talking about McKinnon's uselessness since he was at the EELS.

I see, I just don't understand the point of making a thread about him, the performance really wasn't THAT bad - I've seen worse, heck I saw worse this weekend, and it's not like McKinnon was ever that great a player, just a club player who had his moments - much like Patten.

It just seems random to me. [icon_shru

Oh I'm definitely not calling Anasta a fullback, just his effort in that position was one of the worst I've seen.

Of course, so random, talking about a rugby league player in a rugby league section of a rugby league forum.

I can see your confusion. My apologies.

Making a thread about a past it player who didn't really play that badly to warrant a thread...

Who's getting their next thread? Evarn Tuimavave? Bryan Norrie? Daniel Tolar?

Re: Wade McKinnon

Forget the Hoffman appreciation thread, we definitely need a Saab thread. icon_thumbs_u

Re: Wade McKinnon

After last night's display, you can't go past Wesser. That was a dismal display, which I thoroughly enjoyed! 8-)
