So everyone's basing their Wallace opinions on one year where he was carrying injury for the entirety of it?

He didn't look crash hot in the midst of some backline moves this year, but a halfback is only as good as his ball runners, and they ran some deplorable lines.

Only 6 months earlier he was the first choice NSW halfback.

I'd much prefer to base my opinion on his previous 3 or 4 season before that, when he was playing uninjured.

I've found internet forums generally consist of fans with judgement clouded by emotion. Many need to take a step back and look at situations objectively.

that said mic, some blokes never recover from injury to the player they were....So you can't judge a player on before his injury, but how he comes back from it.

I advocate firing players into the sun should they perform badly.

nope, im basing it on his 3 years with us where hes played maybe a dozen games that were better than mediocre, and many MANY more where hes been mediocre at best.

If players are too precious and can't handle criticism about their levels of performance then maybe they shouldn't play for Brisbane at all, now or in the future?

I'm not saying they'd quit over being bagged by fans.

Rather in a world where if they played poorly and got sent into the sun, I'd just quit. F**k being sentenced to death by a group of people who talk about grown men all day.

My original point was that fans are way too harsh, I know it was a joke...but still.

Fans are harsh but those that pay good money are entitled to their opinion, whether it's wrong or not is all subjective anyway.

Without turning this into a super serious debate as it's not really needed, but players have to remember who pays their wage, the fans. If the fans stopped turning up, the money would dry up and the players would have to go out and work real jobs like the rest of us.

I'm sure if given the choice, most of them would choose to cop the flak if they aren't performing to expected levels.

They're public figures and are subject to the public opinion, which is fair enough.

I have absolutely nothing against criticism, as long as it's substantiated. It’s even better when it’s constructive criticism.

Can we put an option in for Wallace at hooker or halfback at norths, central or redcliffe? Or even better, if Wallace still wants to play in maroon and gold Huddersfield is a great option.
