Wallace Watch

My theory is that he was playing with significant injury last year which impacted his form and confidence. Plus, my suspicion is that Henjak was not a good man manager and struggled dealing with players down on confidence. He certainly could not bring Michaels back, and look at the difference in his form since he moved to the Titans.\

If my theory is right, we should see Wallace progressively improve in form and confidence as long he does not cop another injury.

I hope so. It's certainly true that any player has their confidence dented when carrying injury and playing with pain. But some players do it better than others.

The truly great players tend to excel despite that pain (Lockyer, Johns, Thurston, Smith etc).

Wallace certainly isn't in that company. Ditto Prince.

I still didn't think Wallace was ever THAT bad to deserve being made the scape-goat on here. He was down on form sure but he was never really a liability, he just didn't do enough.

Not a lot has changed, he's just slowly beginning to find his confidence which is evident through his improving kicking game which at times has been pin-point and we've reaped the benefits.

Yes he was. As a halfback, his role was to give the team direction and control playmaking down his side of the field and create points. He failed to do that. Ergo was a liability.

Saying Peter Wallace was a liability would be suggesting he put the Broncos at a disadvantage which is something he didn't do. Corey Norman on the other hand is the text book example of a liability.

Wallace was disappointing with his cod ordinary form but he didn't deserve half the criticism he copped on here.

EDIT: But I'm happy to leave it there.

I hope Wallace continues to improve and gives the boys the best opportunity to win premiership #7.

I just hope that the gradual improvement in our attack (and Wallace's play)continues. To be fair the team has had to deal with fairly attrocious conditions the last two games. I still wouldn't mind something similar for this Friday night because I think those conditions suit us better than the Tigers.

Yep. Agree to strongly disagree.

I hope Wallace continues to improve and gives the boys the best opportunity to win premiership #7.

I agree with this.

He just said he wasn't playing well because he was injured and as a result lacked confidence.

Not sure how accurate the future prediction is, but good to hear he's being earmarked as the 5/8 for 2012.

Pretty much what I posted above. Even he has a blinder for the rest of the season and we win the premiership, there will still be those that think he sucks and should be gone (and they are entitled to their opionions about that).

Holy crap, that's a pretty awesome pic
