For all you guys that are ruining every thread on Wayne Bennett, can you please do it here and then i never have to open this thread for the year
Hiring Wayne Bennett as coach has effectively put the club in a holding pattern for 3 years (his likely retirement). every time he has left a club, that club has gone backwards.
not only that but now we are all going to have to read about people bitching that nothing has changed about our style everyone seems to hate so much. the selections people continue to call a joke from Griffin, will obviously be brilliant once Bennett takes charge
This club should be moving forward, not backwards. just as it looked like we were able to move on from Bennett (without him we have assembled a good squad for next year), the board throw us backwards. once he leaves it will take us another 6+ years to move on from him again.
what we are doing is sacking a coach and hiring a coach that is finishing worse than the fired coach
Days since each NRL coach has won back to back games...

As you can see, Bennett is a better coach than Griffin for this time of the season.
Ricky Stuart is also a hopeless coach.
Yeah let's sack a coach with around 30 years of experience, 7 premierships + his BRL ones, achieved success with QLD and Australia and is seen by some to be the greatest ever.

Well if he isn't up to the task now then his history doesn't mean shit, I don't care how many premierships he won or how long he has been coach. You're as good as your last season/game and right now he is average.
When I saw this threads name, I almost spat my chocolate Oak everywhere.
Well his team just beat the premiers, so....
Because the Roosters are totally the form team of the comp right now. If we are shit with no chance of the finals, then the 'Premiers' who are only 1 win better mustn't be that flash either.
