Wayne disappointed in Mal

I'm a bit on the fence, but leaning towards the team shouldn't have been named until after the round had finished. But I don't think it was to blame for the first half. Cronulla's crowd had their team and refs firing, we just got on the back foot for too long beofre getting back into the play book. They played out of their skins, we were really, really poor and we almost got away with it.

I personally want the premiership favourites tag taken off us, I don't like it.

Exactly. Let everyone spruik how the Cows are certainties for the rest of the season.

In fairness, the Cows should be favourites. I keep waiting for them to stumble, thinking they can't keep this form up all year and deep into the finals. Then I recall I said the same thing about the Broncs last year, and second guess myself... In any case, Cows should be favourites for the premiership again, easily IMO.

The biggest challenge going back to back (especially when they didn't lose anyone) is motivation, not letting complacency replace the hunger they had last season... The most competitive bloke in the comp is the heart of that club and so far they are looking the goods.

If JT has the drive to lead his team to another couple of premierships he doesn't seem to be slowing down, I reckon he could do it. Honestly with everyone staying for unders wouldn't surprise me to see his next contract being signed for as little as the NRL will allow so they keep the team together. It's not like he's going struggle to earn a $ for the rest of his life.

They'd never admit it, but I wonder if player's do think about records and what not... The only possible reason left anyone would give as to why JT can't stand shoulder to shoulder with the Lockyer's and the John's is only one ring earned off his shoulders. Would JT think about that do you think? Would that be a big motivator, or not at all?

Without a doubt IMO. JT is a champion player and every champion is driven to prove themselves amongst their peers.

I don't believe it's necessary. Given his accomplishments, I'd say he sits the equal of those two.

But in terms of his own personal sense of achievement and defining his legacy? I'd be highly surprised if he'll be satisfied without another ring to his name.
