Getting bunded out in the first week of the finals, sure - it was the ugliest loss ever, but last years was almost as bad = basically the same result though. Dragon's were shot ducks last year, played a halfback with one shoulder and their best forward played on one knee, we got our pants pulled down, at suncorp.

Downhill is an oversimplification of an endemic issue at the club. We have had certain players at our club for the last 5+ years who just lack a higher gear. It's where we falter in big games like against the storm.

Our retention commitee seem to get trolled by every other club taking an interest in our players and we pay massive overs for people like macca which we couldn't offload for peanuts if we wanted to.

We have an absolute hard on for playing guys out of position - some of it forced through injury, some of it because people are too weak to make the calls they have to make. Problem is that nothing is getting fixed quickly, changing out half of a squad of boat anchors is going to take at least a year or two for the contracts to expire and move them on / onboard new blood.
