Well, this is awkward

Copley is a centre whilst Michales was a winger and should have always been a winner. I think it is a disgrace to compare anyone to Michaels TBH.

bucking, copley is the new michaels, you will see, he has potential but he wont hit it. He will feel the burn in his chest after tonight and it will break him down. If he makes a full time position for the broncs next year then i will be suprised because after hpffman returns beale will take his spot, copley will be the guy who makes the side after we have to reshuffle for injury or the sorts like perry made the team. I love the broncs but i dont hate the refs in any game. things hapen and refs blow whistles, you cant blame a whole game on a ref, alot of decisions have gone either way every game

Copley's not a winger. He's shown some good stuff this year, but tonight was very mixed, I agree.

As for the refs, of course you're right, but those lopsided penalties early in the game, and that ridiculous one against Sam for the play the ball were absolute momentum shifters. Manly scored 12 points from those two periods of play (+4 when Copley ####ed up).

As a Manly man I'll say it, we got the better of the refereeing. I don't think they're the reason we won, but they did f*** you guys over.

Nice of you to say. And no, they didn't cost us the game, Manly were undoubtedly the better team on the night. But the refereeing I thought cruelled any chance we had to apply pressure, and gifted Manly momentum and field position, especially in the first 25 minutes, and that's where the damage was done. 16-0, it was game over really.

It was always going to be an uphill battle after that first half refereeing with all those kids and missing the calm and direction of Lockyer.

Can't blame Manly for taking advantage, but I definitely think the refs were a 12 points advantage tonight.

I've been reading the game thread on LU and even the most stern Broncos haters couldn't believe their eyes. That speaks volumes!

Please stop it. I need to try and quash my desire to go all Dexter Morgan on Kevin Hayne next time he's up here. I have my kill room all planned and everything, and my photo of the Broncos 2011 and Sharks 2003 teams to display as his innocent victims.

the refs fukked us over hard and then we got down on confidence and fukked ourselves over. manly win.

And THAT was a massive fail on behalf of our captain elect and fellow senior players, Hodges and Parker. To me that was the most disappointing aspect of the game.

Kid or not. He has never been a winger. Hook made two poor selections tonight, Gillette at 5 eigth being the other

Copley's played wing whenever someone's missing from the backline. He's done the job. Lay off him. Tonight was unfortunate, but Gagai wouldn't have done any better IMO.

ok copley had a bad game but you cant blame the loss on him. he messed up in the first half. we had the chances to win it in the second half and our seniors didnt get it done. its not copleys fault.

who here will watch the GF? provided the storm get through.. im not interested. im done.

Copley may have done a job a couple of times but he has been poor most of the time when he played first grade. Gagai may have not made a difference tonight but I rather we lost playing players in their rightful positions

Danny, I still don't know how you can honestly call the refereeing even. The refs held your hand while you scored 16 points and effectively won the game.

Everything else is fine, but to say the refereeing was even, c'mon.

Well I suppose he'll cite what seemed like equaliser penalties late in the game. Pity the damage had been done.

that first 20 minutes was the difference between the teams, and the referees gave Manly a MASSIVE leg up in that time. That penalty against Sam is in the grand final for worst decisions of the season IMO.

The penalty for 3 markers was pretty bad as well.
