Nup. He's a top shelf player. If he was a rookie he would.

Hence what's wrong with the NRL. I'd be perfectly happy with having any player convicted of a criminal offence being suspended for 6 months minimum by the NRL. Yes, that includes drink driving.
 
WESTS Tigers star Benji Marshall has told a Sydney magistrate he pushed a man after being racially taunted by him.

Giving evidence today in the Downing Centre Local Court, Marshall denied punching Soliman Naimey outside a McDonald's restaurant in Sydney's CBD in the early hours of March 5.

He said he had earlier hosted a charity function to raise money for children with cancer and had been returning to his hotel when he heard someone yell out: "Why don't you f*** off, you black c***?"

Well why the comment about the racial abuser "not being snowy white"? Why would that be relevant? He's clearly middle eastern, Benji is pacific islander - therefore, no reason why the middle eastern chap couldn't be making a racist comment.

I think that's great news.

I believe that little mut is one of those smart arses who always acts like a dickheads to famous people to get them to retaliate.

Benji has been cleared so now I'm definitely inclined to believe his side of the story over the other guy who looks to be a tosser.
 
BENJI Marshall has just been cleared of assault.

Magistrate Carolyn Barkell said the issue in the case was whether the contact made by Mr Marshall towards Soliman Naimey was what caused him actual bodily harm.

She noted that due to Marshall's public profile, "he is recognised often, asked for autograph and photos and is also often taunted".

"There is no doubt that the accused responded to a taunt from Soliman Naimey, stopped crossing Bridge St and went back to confront him," she said.

"[But] I must have...doubt as to whether it caused actual bodily harm."

So he was found not guilty because his slap didn't cause the actual bodily harm​

Should it really matter if the bloke is a tosser? If he was a smart arse so what violence is not the answer. Obviously benji didn't assault him so all good.
 
I'm just happy that the tosser got nowhere with his court case. Too many dickheads out there who rile up footy players purely for a reaction, those sort of people annoy me. They have no valule in their own lives so they want to mess around wtih other people.
