What will Darren Lockyer do in retirement

He's gonna have his voice fixed and commentate. I think he'll be a Sterlo type and try and be serious rather than a Fitler/Johns clown combo

Sad part is, Fittler isn't trying to be funny. (Fitter, I think suffered too many head knocks, during his career.)

no chance of comeback.

i hope he's around the team to guide some of the youngsters. not a full coaching role. something that doesn't have a real definition or need to be spoken about. just there to help out etc.

Hope he has a few years away from the club and if he gets the itch the door is wide open for him to play a role at the club.

This. Locky needs to go away from the game for at least 1 preferably 3 years IMO

I just finished his book. How good is it. I loved everything he had to say (even if it was a big locky love fest). What a true role-model/sportsman.

Whatever he does i'm sure he will succeed. I found Gus's comments interesting, about him going into an administerial role at the highest level rather than coaching. I couldn't think of anyone better for that role. He comes across as a guy who doesn't have any agenda's, other than the good of the game.

I just finished the book as well, I really enjoyed the way it was written. I think he will:-
(a) buy a ute;
(b) buy a black Akubra; and
(c) buy a small calf called Felix (in that order).

My guess is Locky will play some role in the coverage for Origin 2012 but not before then.

Would be awesome to see him on the panel to balance out Johns' view on the NSW camp etc.

Channel 9 would be mad not to have him on board.
