Who has been worse than Maranta?

I raised this point in the Souths thread and as I've spent some time thinking about it, I'm really struggling to come up with some names.

Am I being too harsh on Maranta? Help me feel better about the Broncos current predicament and name some wingers that have been just as bad if not worse.

I'll kick us off...

Greg Eden.

Reed at least had a handful of good performances this season (Round 2, Round 7, Round 9), Maranta only has the one game and plenty of shockers to boot.

Ese'Ese has been a belly flop, but Maranta has been derping it up for years. He only got top tryscorer last year because of the amazing work the rest of the team was doing around him.

That incredible try he finished off against Canberra for example. Literally his only job was to catch the ball, run a few steps and ground it. You could say the same of a lot of his tries last year. The guy is a complete myth.

How does Maranta compare to Joe Burgess or Dane Nielsen?

Depends on your expectations personally. When Maranta made his debut I thought he would be solid but I never expected him to be some superstar. To me there are players in the NRL who are performing worse from the standard you expect from them.

Greg Eden came with more expectations then Maranta ever did and I think an argument can be made he has been worse.

Greg Eden, I don't think he has had a positive game at all. Maranta is at least ok and can do a job on his good days.

Maranta & Eden have been comfortably the worst 2 wingers in the NRL this season, and they're our best depth options.. That's how you know we have an issue.

Quite a while ago there was a bloke from the USA named Greg Smith who lied to the Knights and told them he had played NFL. They ended up giving him a game on the wing, he was terrible. It ended up being his only game, he just disappeared after that. I think this guy takes the cake.I mean, who needs to tackle or get back onto your wing after dropping the ball hey?
