Why Cherry-Evans should never grace the QLD jumper again.

Not to mention, him taking the money is not really the issue people have with him at all. No one would care if it was just that. It is more the way he went about it and all the douche moves he has done since then to compound it.

ALL THIS - my point exactly! I would never begrudge anybody securing their financial future but the way he has carried on is probably why he wasn't even picked for this year's Origin. (That and Manly just suck)

what douche moves?

what douche moves?

See one of the above posts about what he did to the Titans and his on-field antics highlighted by last week, etc.

And how could you ever forget that selfish origin 'performance'.

Broncos "fans" that boo DCE for what he did to a rival club but still cheer Greg Inglis... smh.
Not sure how you can compare the situations... the main reason Inglis didn't sign a contract (which DCE did), was incompetence from the Broncos.

Are you forgetting it was raining at the time .......?

Indulge me if you will.....what "selfish origin 'performance'"?

Can you elaborate? If memory serves me the situation was pretty much identical to DCE in ways where Inglis repeatedly assured us he would be honouring his word.

When he was clearly injured before hand but insisted he was 100% fit. gosh weren't we all shocked to find out he wasn't.

You tend to ask this same question a lot, don't you?

You've had the answer given to you multiple times, for example here:
https://broncoshq.com/threads/rumor-biggest-signing-in-the-clubs-history.27604/page-4#post-2714585

So as long as you don't sign something it's a reasonable excuse for lying through your teeth...Got it. But that doesn't still doesn't answer the question. Perhaps I need it spelled out for me. How was it the clubs' incompetence or mismanagement? (that's why I bolded that bit in your quote) It was my understanding that a contract was sitting there waiting to be signed.

Inglis wanted to meet Henjak and Henjak couldn't be bothered. The Broncos then proceeded to announce the deal despite the fact Inglis hadn't actually signed.

Sounds like you need to emotionally divest. Most players dive and he played injured - so what? Players play injured all the time.

Just say youre still emotionally outraged by him taking shitloads of money and setting himself up for life. Its ok.

People act like dce robbed them personally, its hilarious.

Who gives a shit about what DCE did to the Titans ... **** the Titans

It was definitely a dog act allowing the Titans to lose players (or not chasing players) because they thought they had him, but he used the rules to his advantage to squeeze Manly for more cash ... The NRL is as much at fault as DCE, given it was their rule he exploited.

However, playing Origin when you know you are not fit is INEXCUSABLE ... you can't carry injured players (especially in the spine) at origin level. he did it for his own selfish needs and prevented a fit player in great form from playing, possibly costing QLD the game (especially given his performance in that game).

The thing is, players play injured all the time. Sometimes it works out sometimes it doesnt.
Thurston will play injured if he plays. Obviously he has some credit in the bank but if he has a shocker because hes not physically up for it, will we see similar levels of fury? I very much doubt it.

He played one bad game when injured. Not the first or the last to do that.

Imo it is mostly to do with him backflipping on the titans which for some reason causes people to froth at the mouth irrationally.

Do i think what he did was kind of shitty at the time? Sure i guess, but its his career and he can do what he wants. Im not going it hold some sort of weird grievance about that years down the line.
