Why was Dane Gagai never given the same support?

lol trollololololol.

if the broncos would buy a new team, especially of origin rep players, like bennett has done then we'd be going great guns too. the funny thing is, when bennett was at the broncos he wouldnt buy any new players, just stuck with our nuffies and "next big thing" juniors who turned out mediocre at best. then he leaves and realises that buying good players actually works. whoever wouldve thought....

1. Barba is a Dally M medalist. Gagai was a fringe NRL player.
2. Barba problems are apparently drug or alcohol related. Gagai's appear to be attitude related.
3. No player is bigger than the club. You build a strong culture through tough decisions.

But then again our youth policy seemed to go out the window when Prince was on the market at fire sale rates.

Will we be crying when Norman runs out with the Eels in 2014?

I want Bennett back. What a coaching genius, Newcastle going from average to top of the table.

I'd love Bennett back too. Seems as if the NRL has only a handful of true premium coaches with their own distinct styles - Bellamy, Hasler and Bennett.

The rest are all rookies trained under those schools (Toovey, Griffin, Kearney, Price) or old codgers (Sheens, Smith)

If he starts to turn it on .....you betcha we will !!

I still don't care about Gagai and if the stories about his prissy attitude are true, then I still stand behind the decision to **** him off. No one player is bigger than the team

a hard lesson that even King Wal found out about at the Broncos.

Who's to say he would have played the same way here if we had kept him around. Sounds to me his poor attitude was systematic. A change of clubs & a kick up the backside looks like it worked for him.

I'd love Bennett back, no doubt he is a brilliant coach. He can turn any team into a top team.

Bennett, Bellamy and Hasler are by far the best 3 coaches in the game, I'd like to see how Stuart goes though.

Those 3 would be get the best out of the Broncos current spine, more than Griffin can even begin to imagine.
