OFFICIAL Willison Re-Signs until 2027

Patty is superb but don’t know if the modern game suits a big lumbering lock. Speed and athleticism would be beneficial in the middle of the field.
The roosters did this with Radley this year, moved him to a edge and put Watson at 13. which changed how they played.
I think if we were to do this it puts more eyes on the 13 being a threat and gives Ezra and Walsh abit more room.
Problem is finding that perfect 13 to suit that role.

That was a comfort they had because Brandon Smith would play hooker and then have a rest and Watson would play as hooker while he was off the field.

Kobe could play that sort of a role for us but he hasn't really ever cemented himself as an 80 minute player.

Plus the Roosters might have done it but didn't have a positive impact on their results against anyone of note yet again.

Patty isn’t a big lumbering lock though
He’s not exactly speedy though. Please note this isn’t a knock on Patty the player. It’s more of an observation of a possible change of playing style for the team.

Yep. It’s at least worth looking at. We do need to find the right 13 though.

He can be decently agile when his stints are shorter, alot of what we see when he looks slow and sloppy is because he is playing 80 or most of the game.

I think he has more agile capability than Hass.... when fit & strong
playing with confidence.

Haas is bigger and if both are injury free I would say Haas has him in most physical metrics, Carrigan is a bit smaller though and I think the area he most benefits when he is more fresh is his decision making, it goes out the window when your playing past exhaustion.

That is important for his game as a Ball playing lock, and he becomes unsuitable to it when he is doing too many mins.
