Women's RLWC 2021 Week 2 Discussion

That's been a pretty one-sided first half.

Canada just haven't been able to handle England's style of play and poor discipline with the ball hasn't helped matters.

England go the length of the field in their first set and they're in.

On the back of a break and a quick play the ball, England spread it right and Stanley just crashes over.

Stanley gets her second.

Stanley running through a gap and runs 50 metres to score, beating several defenders along the way. Hint of a double movement but the defenders had let go of her.

Canada are in.

England make a mistake on the kick off and on the following set, Woods beats several defenders on the right edge to crash over.

England are in.

They spread it left from an offload and Canada just weren't able to get the numbers over there and Roberts scores in the corner.

Hat-trick for Stanley.

England spread it right and create the numbers on the right and Stanley beats Woods to score her third.

Canada's defence on the edges has been poor.

Winfield-Hill saw that there was space on the left edge and puts a kick in for the winger Burke who scores her second.

Molyneux Player of the Match for England.

What are these commentators watching?

58-0 at half time. Slowed down in the later 20 minutes, it was heading for 160-0 at half time.

Chapman has a double, Sergis has a hat trick.

The French hooker is absolutely hopeless. Some shocking passes off scrum plays.

No one wants to see a game like that. Did the French complete even one set?

In a game I thought Canada would be fairly comfortable in, Brazil pushed them all the way.

Canada get a ball to somehow sit up in those tiny in-goals to chase and score the winner with a minute to go:

Cook Islands vs France on now

Much like the early seasons of the NRLW, there's a level of amateur-ness that makes these games really enjoyable in a different way than watching the (mostly) professionals

Great defensive tackle from France to hold Cook Islands up over the line

Cook Islands just using crash plays with their size, France actually moving the ball through the hands
