The Cowboys' emphatic win against the Doggies on Saturday night has opened up the wooden spoon battle.
The Cowboys play the Titans in Townsville this round coming, and a win could push them to 15th and the Bulldogs behind.

The Dogs have to find a win somewhere, and I can't see it coming.

Now, if the Dogs do finish last, it'll be their first genuine wooden spoon since 1964 (not counting 2002 when they had their points taken away for salary cap cheating).

Previously they had won the spoon in 1943, 1944 and 1964, so it'd only be the 4th time (5th including 02) that they have finished last.

Personally, I'd love to see it. Cowboys have won enough spoons already :P

Yep but I pity both teams this season. I'd prefer to see someone like the Eels or Rabbits get it. But if it's a choice of Dogs or Cows, start licking Dogs.

DOGS - LOL. What goes around comes around, try and rort the salary cap again....

Meh, The roosters are rorting the cap to.

We buy one star and we had to release like 5 players to accommodate, Roosters buy 4-5 stars, omeley, mason, anasta, myles, roberts(when he signed up) and all these players THAT THEY TOOK FROM OTHER CLUBS, yet they hardly lost anyone, meh, nick politis is a rorter.

I'd love to see the dogs get it, but there's something a little bit special about the idea of Thurston getting a wooden spoon...

I was talking about 2002 when they rorted the Salary Cap, the points being stripped wasn't their punishment, they are facing all of that NOW. Bwa ha ha ha. Karma comin to bight them on the arse.

I couldnt care less, Mason is not there to receive the spoon, hardly anyone to hate in the team anymore... It would be kind of funny in an evil way if they do get the spoon and SBW is forever known as walking out on a team who then got the wooden spoon... media would have a field day with that.

my full support is behind the Cowboys to win it...

Just wanna see the reactions from all the turncoats that used to pay me out bout being a Broncos supporter in highschool....

Not to mention i hate the cowboys with a passion

You seem to hate a lot of stuff wally.

You need some angry sex!

Jeb: while Steph's in China, you up for it?

Pretty sure you meant that in a different way to what I read it, but I just can't see what other way there is.

I think the Cows deserve to avoid the spoon. They have suffered from inury but for the most part have had a real dig in their games and been in most of them with a chance.
The Dogs on the other hand have capitulated.

Hard choice solely for the fact that I despise both teams.

But when it gets down to "earning" it, sheesh it's hard to go past the Dogs. The Cowboys have fought hard in more matches than the Dogs and have clearly showed more effort on the field this year IMO. The Dogs just look completely hopeless and totally uninterested...

I think the Cows can avoid the spoon, but it could well come down to points differential.

Coxy Coxy Coxy.... I am disappointed in your continual palming me off.... I know i'm full on, hard to please and hard to handle, but jesus christ, lift your fucking game!!

Although i do suppose Jeb's motto is... 'Anything you can do, I can do better'....

I was going to reply in this thread, but then saw Steph's name. Now I forget what the thread was about. So with that in mind...
