So we won't know the side until gameday.

Madge has decided to adopt the Super League protocol of not naming the side until 90 minutes before kick off.

Big agree, and it's why I was glad to hear we/Hull KR made it work so the game could be played.

The last few years I have really enjoyed watching ESL games, so hope these sorts of games help get more eyes on the English product too.

Looking forward to the game, and glad we look to be taking it seriously even though it'll essentially be our first 'trial' of the season.
I’d honestly encourage anyone to watch the Super League whenever they can. Granted, the kick off times can suit the night owls, but take our game v York for example, we were 1/200 to win and ended up losing by a point. That’s how unpredictable it can be. (+ Our team finally broke the 4 team lock on the grand final after 21 years of no new name in 2025)

It’s slowly getting better, contrary to what the doomsayers like to spread. We may have a smaller salary cap and less coverage, but the quality on the pitch is still there.

One for yourselves, which I’m sure most of the diehards on here already know, Lockyer has put a lot of effort into helping Championship side London Broncos become genuine contenders. They will be in Super League by 2027 100%. If you are looking for a second team to follow, there is your pick.

It is a smaller sport over here and, as you know, football takes the lion’s share of attention. But the numbers do not lie, we are slowly but surely climbing back up in popularity. We just need the Aussie fans/top brass to buy into it, especially with rumours still circulating that Peter V'landys could make a play for a majority share in the next few years. :)

NRL and ESL are split 50/50 on total wins.

There's been 30 games played, both with 15 wins each.

Actually, technically ESL have more wins because Melbourne were stripped of the title they won during their cheating years but Melbourne still won that game so I'm counting it towards the tally.

Since 2000, NRL are 12 from 23.

Granted, NRL are 7 wins from the past 10 matches but then you have a dynasty team in Panthers losing twice in a row. They lost those games because of how much the ESL teams frustrated them with their defensive style of shooting out from anywhere on the field to disrupt the attack. It was designed to throw the Panthers off and it worked.

I expect Hull to do the same. I expect Hull to be pushing the boundaries all night to disrupt Walsh. If they can shut him down, that will help them massively in causing an upset. He is the most important piece of our attack. We're getting an ESL ref for this game so I expect them to get a fair bit of leeway.

A lot of people are expecting us to win by 50 but I think this game is going to be closer than what those people think. I remember what happened the last time we went over to England to play Warrington, we lost.

I love the ESL, it’s way better than the NRL which has basically become WWE as the team that wins often depends on who the ref likes on any given day. I support the Broncs, could t care less about the rest of the comp.

Unfortunately your comp follows the stupid rules our comp keeps bringing in but about 12 months later, so I’m going to enjoy actual league in England as long as I can.

Vlandys is good with money because he’s a sleazeball Trump wannabe but he can’t leave the game alone. Be careful what you wish for. He’s made league almost unwatchable unless my team is playing.

So the team list on the NRL.com site has a bench of Paix, Anderson, J Hunt and Mozer. Willison, Tawha and Talty reserves.

Nothing from the Broncos so I imagine that's going to change on gameday.
