World Club Challenge - Wigan vs Brisbane

Well, we've still got a lot to work on.

I've liked Kahu's involvement, and Ofahengaue hasn't looked out of place.

On the other hand, Whitchurch is clearly not up to it, and Dodds still looks well underdone.

More fluency in attack would be nice, but I'm confident Copley and Oates (as rumoured) offer more than Whitchurch and Maranta.

Oath. This pitch is a one off the ruck slog fest. Let's leave Milford and Hunt out of that discussion. Jordi Kahu has been solid

Anyone else roll their eyes and almost die with laughter when the fuckwit onesided commentators crapped on about ESL being just as good or better then tje NRL.

The Broncos are playing to the conditions.

It was never going to be an expansive game and while it's been far from a perfect performance, it's the first hit-out of the season so it's no surprise that the passing has been a little poor and that some of these players are coming up with silly mistakes.

It's a typical pre-season game, made worse by the weather and terrible condition of the pitch.

I truly hope no one is reading too much into the performance - a few players look well off the pace fitness wise, and there's been a raft of handling errors from both sides.

The biggest thing we can take from this game is match fitness really.

I don't think we should be talking about Milford and Hunt too much yet guys, it's 2 degrees and they're playing on mud with a slippery ball, without Boyd, Gillett & Copley who are arguably 3 of our best weapons in attack.

We'll be way better come Round 1.

Thank **** we resigned McGuire. He is a machine.

I love how one sided these commentators are, they'll be completely biased for 75mins, then if we're ahead they'll change their tone and talk about how poor Wigan are and how they lost the game rather than Brisbane winning it.

Happy they're not trying to play dry footy in these conditions, thought Vidot's been a bit quiet and expected a few more hitups from the big guy.

Yeah, keen to see how we go on a good, dry field.

Blair looked rubbish too. Very little work

Really?

I thought his intensity in defense stood out in the first 20 minutes. He was flying into tackles and that propelled McGuire to do the same. Haven't seen that sort of aggression from a Broncos forward since the 2009 semi.

Wayne looking a little animated in the dressing sheds.

Worth noting that this is Terry Springer's last game as trainer. Been with the club since day dot but since he isn't a physio, he's going to be re-assigned to another role.

Wigan have been offside all night. Refs letting them crowd the play the ball and missing cannon balls. Should Bowen have gone off for a concussion test when he was "knocked out" by Parker?

Im enjoying our defence. We weren't missing tackles and we were shutting off the offload. I think McCullough needs to start kicking. This game is far from boring.

Highly unlikely that will happen for Vidot, he walks and pushes but won't get any traction on this field

Some people are impossible to impress, mate. Expect plenty of the blame being passed onto anyone Bennett brought in by the usual suspects in 2015. Exciting stuff.

The best thing the players and coach can do is make everything out to be a negative.

Only way they will get better.

We're underway on the second as Kahu is cleaned up on the Broncos 10.

Burgess once again loses it inside his own half.

Brisbane a little fortunate there, Kodi nearly ran it on the last but Hunt shouted him down.
