Kudos to NQ. They've been low on troops and running on fumes for a few weeks but they're still fighting every week.

Can't help but think they'll struggle next week against Parramatta. Much like our finals match against Cowboys last year that was an intense match that would leave whoever won drained.

Morgan really has come along this year after graduating from deputy to sheriff. Particularly thought his defensive efforts towards the end of match were excellent. Came up with some crucial one on ones while his team mates were standing around making no effort.

Doesn't matter if Cows lose next week. This was their grand final. They can end the season with their heads held high knowing they left it all on the field. Regardless of any leg ups or poor opposition, they show up and give their all.

Cowboys received a few lucky calls.

Fensom lost the ball, it wasn't stripped. I also thought Hess lost the ball as well. And a few other calls going their way, although Sharks were deliberately conceding penalties on their line because that's what they do.

However, the Sharks first try? Never should have been a try. It's mind boggling how the bunker even came to the conclusion of it being a try.

Both teams received their share of calls. Cronulla received two calls that led directly to tries, while the Cowboys got one at the death with Fensom who just lost it.

I thought the Lewis call was rough, but the Holmes lost ball is pretty consistent with everything we've seen.

It's about the defensive player being required to clear the ruck and to not place his hands on the ball.

No wonder bird is leaving the sharks. 3 times in the last half of extra time he had a 2 on 1 and either Lewis or Maloney hogged the ball. Another time in extra time a simple pass through the hands would have given a chance but they did a cut out pass past bird and it was shut down easily by the cowboys, he was barging on to the ball each time as well! He might be prone to the odd error (1 a game average) but every point they scored came off of something he did but when they needed the points they avoided him like they plague. It would be like us not passing to Roberts or Milford in the same situation
