I think Penrith scored every try down the make shift edges that they created through foul play... except the blatant double movement try.

I'm not too fussed with the result... we actually turned the momentum halfway through that second half despite having zero possession and clearly fucked... shows good signs from a fitness perspective

I have a big question here, is Riki on minimum backrower or what? The boy is loyal for sure but hasn't developed his attacking skills for years, all you can talk about is strong chase....... No foot steps or speed like piatura, butter hands when handling balls, he's not even as good as Zac hosking.

The bench must be utilised well, sailor needs to be there!

Thought it was admirable the way we worked ourselves back into the game after it looked like we had given up the ghost in that first 20 minutes of the second half.

Concerning how much we switched off there, but a good sign of character that we came back into it.
This gives me hope

Reasonable display all things considered. While there was plenty to dislike from us like our ill discipline with the ball, our shocking edge defence, especially from our wingers ( although they werent helped playing alongside makeshift centers ), and Fletcher Baker and Walters being putrid, there was still plenty to like. We kept competing and didnt give up, and showed flashes of brilliance to jag some tries.

We play a flash style of attacking footy, take away Walsh and Reyno and end up having to move Cobbo, we lose a lot of our flair and teams dont have the fear of us they do when they are in the team.

We showed good fight .... we could have thrown our hands up in surrender and let the Panther rack up a cricket score.

Something clicked in Mam for the final 20 and he took ownership of the team ... he needs to build of that.

Cobbo had a decent game and i thought Jensen stepped up in the absence of Haas (despite not having his numbers)

This was the tackle Cleary complained it should have been a penalty to Penrith, not us.

Tells a real picture of how the whistle was going.

Kobe stood up after a poor week and had a really good game, I thought. Arthars as sold as ever. Mam looked a lot more dangerous in that second half. Piakura still looking really good. Willison had a few impressive moments. Cobbo did a good job at the back though it's an obvious drop off both in attack and defence. Staggs had some good moments too. Carrigan is Carrigan. Madden did fine, nothing to embarrass himself. Jensen looked good too.

The Walsh injury changed the game. We were already up against it, and we just couldn't account for that shuffle in defence. Still it sure it wasn't a double movement, still not sure To'o made it to the line. Taking that into account, the scoreline actually might have flattered the Panthers. They could have gone on with it and we didn't let them.

It's Round 3. Penrith might drive off a cliff. The Dolphins might be minor prems. It's a little early to write our season off.

I actually saw a lot I liked. You have to look beyond the score line because we not only had two of our best out before the game even started, we then had it compounded by Walsh getting taken out in the first 2-3 minutes. We couldn't buy a 50/50 call and had some absolute passengers out there in Walsh and Baker and Taupau to a lesser extent.

Willison though lived up to the hype, Jensen was a man possessed, as was Carrigan. Hetherington had some poor moments but looked much better. Cobbo was FANTASTIC. The wingers continue to impress and Mam came alive for the first time this season.

We have holes but they are becoming clear and we can address them when the cavalry returns.

Losing Reynolds and Walsh, is like Melbourne in the day losing Smith and Slater.

Ok…

First half- nothing to say. Nada. Nope. Zilch.

Second half of the second half- good effort by the boys and they put a fight, had some good touches and some nice runs.

Cobbo and Arthars again. Consistently having a good game every week.

I’m happy to see Mam finally realised he was on the field tonight and had some good touches.

Mariner is a force to be reckoned with.
Willison is bloody huge!!!
Marty and his knee need to be gone.

The one on Piakura was worse.

I know i keep saying it, but we need a Tallis. Even though you cant punch grubs, somebody needs to punch these *****. We need more violence in this team to give it to grubby teams like the riff.
