Geez, this Lewis doesn't take a backward step in defence. Tough kid.

Wayne calling out the wrestle in the press conference. He's gaining my respect back.

Benny has always called out the wrestle, and his hard nosed attitude meant he refused to allow his team to wrestle. So we were the only ones in the comp not wrestling. Siebold has a hard job teaching them how to do it effectively without being pinged as it just goes against the Broncos' grain. But eventually he'll bring us into the 21st century.

He's not wrong in his observations though, it's an absolute blight on the game.

Panthers can feel hard done by for their no try. Johnson wraps his arms around the decoy runner.

Yeah Panthers were dudded there.

Defensive decisions that commit the player to initiate contact with the decoy runner are not obstructions. That was a defensive decision by Johnson because he thought Kikau was getting the ball. At that point it doesn't matter if Kikau ran at his outside shoulder, it's only a penalty if the decoy runner is the one that initiates the contact.

That wasn't the case. It was a try.

High quality opening to the Roosters Storm game.

Both teams highly determined to win the physical battle.

Roosters draw first blood.

Roosters side seems even better than last year, even without Fergo. Their spine is all playing even better than last year, especially Keary.

The Roosters attack is a masterclass.

Bodies in motion. Plenty of energy, intensity and movement.

Quick, crisp passes.

14-0.

I thought the two refs from the Cowboys vs Storm game were being dropped for this week?

Both of these sides are so well drilled in defense. Both sides work together as a unit. Pretty impressive.

When was the last time the Storm were 20-0 down at home?

Unbelievable.

This will test the resolve of the Melbourne Storm.

They’re going to be hard to beat this season if they stay in this form.
