There seems to be a debate about something unrelated in every thread these days. Makes the place interesting when you come to talk about Segeyaro and are being told by old mate that 30 cones then hit the road, she'll be right! I remember doing 8 cones in a row in my hazier youth; I couldn't operate my own body at that point, let alone a motor vehicle!

Has there been any news about Segeyaro's punishment?

Not sure I did all that, but thanks! You seem to think I’m putting a lot more effort in here, then I really am.

I’m simply stating what the law is and why it is so. The overwhelming medical advice is that drugs are bad and impair your ability to drive, which is danger to yourself and others, hence why it’s illegal.

But if you feel differently, that’s fine.

But I’m sticking with the medical advice.
And he's done it again! Strawman. Apparently I think drugged driving is good and drugs are good. I apparently don't think drugs affect your driving skills and they( drugged drivers and misused drugs) aren't a danger either.

So, do you think that's a fair description of my position?

No of fucking course it isn't and not one single thing there is representative of my positon. Thank **** they only trust you to write out a few tickets.

Goodness me, what a discussion, I use strawmen and you can’t write a sentence without adding ad hominem...

When you’ve finishing wiping up all the froth from your mouth, feel free to revisit my post where I said ‘If’ you feel differently...

Given your grammatical crusade, I wouldn’t have thought English comprehension would have been a particularly great issue for you, but there you go...

So they can but choose not to. Interesting.

Read my earlier comment. We do, just not as a roadside test, which is only an indication anyway.

Guys, keep this civil.

Debate the points without attacking the poster. Failure to do so will result in further action being taken.

I read it, I just don't agree with it. It's obviously just as simple to test for it roadside as the others. Very hard to tell by eye when someone is on it unless they have had a shitload.

@Nashy I'm not getting a notification when posts get merged. It also doesn't show up in new posts either.

Medical advice said smoking was good for you not so long ago. In fact doctors were once the biggest advocates off smoking in the ads in the mass media. Medical advice said thalidomide was good for pregnant woman too. Cough medicine used to contain herion. Medical advice is not always right and in some instances can be horribly wrong. If there's money to be made medical advice is not always a reliable source to make an informed decision.

Well, I've known a thousand people who've been stoned either with me or near me and I've never known anyone, including myself to be 'off your chops'. The key here I believe is to have some idea as to what that expression means and to agree to a definition. The worst I've ever seen is gut wrenching laughter and sometimes an overwhelming paranoia. With the paranoia one it seems to this layman that there was an underlying (and undiagnosed) psychological condition that made the experience uncomfortable. I do know that marijuana can affect some in very serious ways but I can't help but feel that there was (generally speaking here) a pre existent condition that the pot released.

I think you should add that there is no better or higher authority for a person to consult before making an informed decision. If there is a better or more highly qualified level it's managed to stay well hidden from this poster.

MDMA was originally an anti-depressant

I've seen more accidents nearly occur when pedestrians have been staring at a phone rather than a driver. Ban walking and being on a phone.

So anyway .... any word on a penalty for Segeyaro for his indiscretion ?

Hopefully it is only a weeks suspension.
