Right, that was a pathetic display of football from the Broncos IMO. Nothing has changed from last year, it's the same predictable shit, there was not an ounce of thought put into the plays, and this bullshit bash them up the middle crap that has failed for the last 3 years, has failed us, yet again.

The ONLY thing that made us look good, was Manly giving away penalties.

It's fucking pathetic that the issues of last year have not been fixed. This falls on Hook. Did he just not do ANYTHING during the off season?

Well, there's a lot to say.

Firstly, the fullback. Norman has shown that he isn't just a bad player at 5/8th, he's also a bad fullback. And given Hoffman's "ball playing" there, I feel we need to at least give Bond a shot.

Secondly, the centres. Hodges is pathetic in defence, but you can't drop him. Reed you can drop. Get him running laps. Kahu straight in for Reed.

The halves. Barely a step up from last year. Prince's long passing game is a joke. Wallace will never be a good player. Not much that can be done here other than giving Hunt a try.

Gillett. We seriously moved Hannant on the bench for him? Hannant should be starting, Gillett is a bench player atm. Thaiday is not a front rower.

Same stuff dished up as the second half of last year. Wonder what that first Broncos team thinks of this current team. The only players that genuinely seemed to care, I mean wanting to do the jersey proud was Hodges and Parker.

Also one of our strengths last year was Glenn hitting holes. Seems like he was just there to make first or second runs straight into the defence. What a waste. What's going on Griffin, old buddy?

That was fucking embarrassing to watch. Our defence is fucking shocking, deadset our line speed is absolutely piss poor which doesnt help the fact that we can't put a ball carrier on their back to save our life. I think I remember reading in the off season that we signed a wrestling coach or a new wrestling coach for this year?? if we did sack him, he hasnt changed shit. In attack its all well and good giving it to Hodges early and letting him create something but fmd we need something other than that, im not to sure but the only forward i can think of that wasn't stopped at the line was Glenn who i thought looked really good but apart from that we were a bunch of marshmallows. On the refs calls, Taufua was dead but it was a shit chase and he deserved to score a try from that effort, Maccas try should have been given and Williams was out of the in goal when he jumped for the ball. All in all that was shithouse and if something doesn't change it's going to be a long year.

Wallace looked lost as usual, he lacks creativity and vision, often throws hospital passes.

Princes' defense was shocking again, but looked like he could create something each time he had the ball.

Reed is useless as tits on a bull, he is way too slow for a centre, he can't draw and pass, doesn't even look like breaking a tackle or poking his nose through the line to pop a ball.

Hannant just looks fat and unfit, he takes a mile of time to get off a tackled player and to get back into position.

In fact most of the team looks unfit, why do they take an age to get back 10? they barely set the defensive line in time for the next attacking raid, so frustrating to watch them jog at a slow pace to get back the 10.

Where the **** was Norman?

Geez we lack speed in the backs, Kahu and Bond needs to be seriously considered.

And we lack fitness, and size in the forwards.

It's going to be a long season.

To me its not that we lack the players, IMO with the exception of a quality fullback we have a team that's easily top 8 material but we are just playing woefully. Absolutely shocking, there needs to be a huge turnaround.

Is it our fitness? We weren't that bad in the first half...

I thought min 10-40 was really really great stuff. Was really looking forward to our year based off that first half. And then the horrendous second half occurred. Hook reallly needs to keep Parker on for 80, as soon as he came off and Stagg came on, and also when Macca came off, they scored those 3 tries.

Ok, easy to talk about the negatives because, well after tonight there are just too many. Anyone got any positives out of the match?

What I want to see next week, even if it's probably too many changes

1. Bond. Deserves a shot. Looked gutsy in his limited time in the trials. Has a lot of pace. Norman is worthless.
2. Hoffman. Might as well.
3. Kahu. Reed is very unfit.
4. Hodges. Pathetic defence, but orsm attack. Can't really drop him.
5. Maranta.
6. Hunt. Wallace is a joke.
7. Prince. Best of what we have, I guess.
8. Hannant
9. McCullough
10. McGuire
11. Glenn
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Wallace/Granville/Baptiste
15. Gillett. Bench player at best so far.
16. Dodds. Give him a decent shot I guess.
17. Stagg/Hala/whoever.
