Teo looking at 5 weeks? I really didn't think there was much in it.

He seemed to have his angry pants on earlier though.

if Reynolds only got 3 weeks with an early plea ... then Te'os was only worth 1 week (maybe) he gets 4 weeks if he plead's guilty

I didn't even think it was worth a penalty. He looked to be putting a bit "ëxtra"in most tackles though . Mayby he has got a bit of a chip on his shoulder for some reason.

It's Rugby League, not MMA or Professional Wrestling.

That was a disgraceful chicken wing and it wasn't the only one I picked up on in that half alone.

The annoying thing is, I think it's completely superfluous. Once you have the guy on his back, you've already delayed the tackle long enough, the chicken wing is nothing but a cheap shot.

very true ...

I suppose my biggest problem is the massive inconsistencies in the MRC and judiciary processes. because not taking away from the seriousness of Te'os actions and it really was meant to cause injury, i feel Reynolds actions were far worse, yet he gets a lighter punishment.

but you are certainly right ... IMO, the chicken wing, grapple, crusher etc. (all designed to cause pain to your opponent to get him to submit) has no place in rugby league. you want to slow the play the ball down, fine but at least to it in a manner not designed to cause pain.

The Reynolds charge was a joke and the Te'o charge certainly highlights how inconsistent the judiciary is. However, that isn't what I'm upset about.

The problem I have is this notion is that it didn't deserve to be penalised. If that isn't a penalty than we may as well start handing our money over to Dana White because we're watching an entirely different sport.

And Te'o for some reason was being a dog all night, looking for lots of cheap shots.

Character revealing. Can't wait till he's on the bottom of some of those rucks.

The tape should be reviewed, I reckon there were 3 or 4 shoulder charges that got overlooked on the "Souths/Rusty must win a premiership" rule.

You noticed them too? Like I said, I fucking hope it derails their campaign, I'd love nothing more for them to come up empty handed this year, because it's their last shot in the foreseeable future IMO. And I'd love them to experience the "so close yet so far" that Broncos fans endured.

Te'o was being extra grubby last night. It was such a Storm like performance in wrestling and grubbiness.

I guess I'm going to have to watch it again as it looked to me at the time they fell in an awkward position and that was it. If he's been stung with such a high grading I most likely didn't see it clearly.

IMO, Te'o is clearly trying to wrench Thaidays shoulder out of its socket

I don't think we were as far out of the contest as the score indicates. Three tries form failure to contest kicks were the clincher. GI was awesome . He looks fit and fast. Pity he didn't show that form at origin. I thought Hodges was pretty good last night and really tried to lift the team. Not completely given up on ,making the eight just yet.

I agree. For mine the difference was 99% GI. I have never (from an imperfect memory) seen him as involved in game before, for the whole 80 minutes. His was performance last night made all the other wannabe superstars look like pansies - Hayne in particular.

When you take out his 3 tries, his try saver on Barba, and then factor in Vidot's bombed try and our poor kicking contest, I think the score doesn't indicate the actual contest. That's at a pinch, 22 points scored due to Inglis and -4 thanks to Vidot

It was Inglis who beat us, not Souths.

GI's performance was exceptional for sure... But their forward pack did a number on us, making way too many meters through the middle third.

Thomas Burgess with 21 runs for 209 metres, we sure it wasn't George Burgess playing?

I will have to take a second look at it . I am certainly not going to argue Teo's case .On another note, I thought Souths were given too much leeway on slowing down the play the ball when we were in the red zone. Especially when they were more then 12 points ahead. They seemed to be working on the principal that the refs have only got so many penalties in them and being at least 12 points in the lead it was worth the risk to push the boundaries. I wouldn't mind players getting 10 in the bin for repeated or blatant infringements in this area.

True, they are big and they are also quick off the mark. However, we gave them too much room to move, and Luke's service makes Macca look like treacle.

As well, it's largely because we are not aggressive enough in defence and our line speed sucks which enables them to get up a full head of steam before they hit our defensive line.

We don't hit in defence - we grab and drag.

Where's Tunza?

On a side note. As much as Luke annoys the **** out of me and can be a grubby little prick, when someone is genuinely hurt he shows a heap of concern.

I'm not talking down his effort but it would've helped that Hoffman is his NZ teammate.
