A couple of them are guesses, not even sure if Granville is qualified to be a rookie this year considering he played a couple of games last year.

Granville definitely qualifies for rookie of the year. He only played two games last season and the limit is three according to the criteria they use for the Dally M.

I forgot about the Best Back category for the NRL - will be pretty tough split between Hunt, Copley and Vidot. I don't think winning Player of the Year necessarily nabs you the award either if memory serves - they like to spread the recognition around.

Changed a couple of predictions

As you said, they like to spread these awards around a bit.

Granville must win rookie of the year by default

Always a good night tonight, boys are coming back from camp in Carins for the night.

1910, I have heard from someone kinda linked to the organisation, that there is a special presentation planned for this evening which will feature a montage of Anthony's most memorable moments during his time as both under 20's AND first grade Head Coach.

Could you please confirm if you have also heard these whispers?

Should be a fabulous/emotional evening though; particular now that you have also confirmed Benny and Josh have flown down from Cairns to be there for Hooks last formal function with the club. Looking forward to your postings (complete with photographs) tomorrow hopefully.

Guys, I apologize if I have overstepped the mark here and am not meant to post links to other websites ,BUT , for all those interested, subscribers now have the opportunity to log in and watch this evening's proceedings live on the internet. :takdir:

I believe tonight's festivities commence at 6.45pm (Brisbane time)

Can't wait! Put the kettle on guys and make a pot of coffee and sit back and enjoy :clap2:

Sounds good. But coffee? It's Friday night. Mmmm beer!

PMSL Ausy! Good point fella lol. Anyways, I KNOW it is short notice but just wondering if any of you lads might consider meeting up tonite over at the Convention Centre for a few bevvies beforehand and soak up the atmosphere before the lads (AND their dazzling partners) enter at 6.45pm? I just thought it would be kinda neat to experience a bit of the glitz and glamour on the red carpet before the presentations commence.

Well, PM if interested and again, looking forward to it all and hope you all have a special evening planned too!

Guys, if you are like me and feeling a little sentimental at the moment, do yourself a favor and check out this tremendous tribute put together by the club in commemoration of Hooks last 7 years (wow ,cant believe it has been that long). I believe there is a special presentation tonite (something similar to the old This is Your Life tv show) where there will be a couch set up on the stage and over a period of around 30 minutes various individuals, such as players, will each enter the stage and spend a minute or two sharing their thoughts and memories of Hook. Fantastic initiative by the club!

Thank You Hook - Broncos

Fair dinkum? I just can't see that happening. Anyways...

Player of the Year - Ben Hunt
Best Forward - Josh McGuire
Best Back - Dale Copley
Most Consistent - Josh McGuire
Players' Player - Corey Parker

I would put McGuire just ahead of Parker as best forward although he was clearly found out against the top teams. He also seemed to clean up his act regarding penalties and ill-discipline whereas Parker made crucial errors in most games late in the year. I can't question the guy's heart or toughness but still needs a while to join the upper echelon of premier front rowers in the competition. That being said, he's had an awesome year and deserves multiple awards tonight.

I don't really care much about the special awards but good luck to whoever is in the running. I didn't watch nearly enough NYC this year to make an accurate assessment either way.
