Less than an hour to go now guys! Fair bit of nervous tension I'd imagine amongst not only the players, but also the WAGS. Be interesting to see some of the fashion amongst the girls, all attempting to outdo each other no doubt (in a friendly way of course). At this early stage I would think Benny Hunts partner is gonna take a heck of a lot of beating for best dressed. She looked simply stunning at the Dally M's last week. Probably also put Jharal's gorgeous lady as one of the other favorites for the evening.

Quite a lovely evening out here at Southbank (weatherwise) with just a slight breeze blowing at the moment. Have not seen any of the lads arrive as yet , just a couple of camera crews. Possibly also spotted Karl Stevanovic outside the Convention Centre entrance - possibly to conduct the red carpet interviews with Lisa Wilkins may be. Getting bloody nervous here thats for sure hehe. Always do when there is a lot of pomp and ceremony involved

Just interviewed a couple of players, all I've learned so far is that Ben Barb's missus is super awkward / shy and that David Stagg just underwent his 4th shoulder reconstruction, he sounded pretty keen to go around again next year though.

I've never understood using a workhorse type of player for a 20 minute stint off the bench. Hopefully Bennett is cleverer than that.

I hope we haven't seen the last of Lowrie. IMO, Thaiday, Glenn or Gillett should make way for him in the second row. I think those guys are more better suited to the bench than Lowrie. We also have a problem with defense and Lowrie could help plug that. You don't play for years at the Melbourne Storm if you're an arm grabber.

Big speech by Grand Final coach Hodges basically thanking everyone.

His bit on the NYC playing group was really good. Made a point of how underrated they were and how after Round 1 he had no idea how they were going to go but was glad they managed to find their way into the GF.
