First things first, great fucking defence boys, one of the best defensive efforts I've seen in a long time to be honest, our attack had some major issues (Mainly stemming from about 50 errors and penalties against us)

Glad to get the win at least, but we need a lot of work.

At least we're off the bottom of the table. Some good solid defence there.
Attack needs some work but Milford looked to have a few runs and showed some signs.

I am taking their defence as a positive tonight. The bench came on and did a good job tonight, special mention to Wallace.
Great defensive game by Kahu as well

I think the Sharks have a shit side, dunno why people rate them. We were always going to win if we didn't play like ass. So I guess that's something.

Scrappy as hell but well earnt.

Sharks were 31/45 sets, 294/315 tackles.

Broncos 25/38, and 367/391 tackles.

Final penalty count: 11 to 6

If nothing else, some very solid defence in the face of some pretty lopsided possession and refereeing.

It was an ugly game but I'll take it. We seemed to begin gelling in that second half which I was happy to see. Our defence was absolutely superb and I hope Wayne can make it consistent.

Milford easily outplayed Barba. He tried to get involved as much as he could in the second half but he needs to work on his passing and options. Personally, I'm starting to lean towards Milf to fullback and Hodges to 5/8th, but we'll see how he goes.

Thaidays hit on Feki was a beauty.

An ugly win is still a win. Awesome defence. Sharks actually threw a fair bit at us, looked certain to score a few times, just genuine grit and determination in defence. Thaiday made some desperate tackles that last week or last year he would have not bothered. Still bummed that with the first penalty he gave away he stood there bitching as the play went past him.

Great defence but frankly Barba and Robson are among the nuffiest halves we'll face all year.

Still, some of the efforts that our boys made were great. Shit halves aside, it takes something special to stop Bukuya the way Kahu did and the effort by Hunt in the first half to intercept when a try was certain is a great play against anyone.

Kahu's bomb catching was superb and virtually everyone made some key tackles.

Still a lot of work to be done and I think we're nowhere this year but the commitment deserves a wrap even if the skills didn't.

Ugly win, but it's a win against a team we should've beaten so I'll take it.

Milford looked good in patches, and our bench was very good.

I dont really care about him, but what the hell has happened to Barba, his frickin useless these days. How can he go from bein so great in 2012 to now playing like a drunken chinaman?! On the boys though, what a epic defensive effort. Hard to find a place for Copley next week, given how well Kahu an Maranta played - safe as houses tonite.

Actually really happy we had a match like this. We show great defence and some good signs in attack.

I think as some of the NRL experts have said already, we will hit or straps in the back end of the year.

Milford show some great signs and Hunt played very well and controlled the game.

Good signs.

Why not Reed?

because he's a head case

Scrappy game and we need to improve 100% to beat any decent teams.

Hunt took control well, milf is a work in progress - showed some good signs give him 4 weeks.

any thoughts on big joe?
