Aw look, I'm just really happy we got the win and the 2 points, I don't care how bad we played. We desperately needed a result, I thought.

Scrappy game and we need to improve 100% to beat any decent teams.

Hunt took control well, milf is a work in progress - showed some good signs give him 4 weeks.

any thoughts on big joe?

3.kahu
2.hunt
1. Hodges
Thought Joe did what was expected of him so a good solid debut

Joe didn't really get much of a chance tbh, couldn't really grade his performance.

I would be putting negotiations with Macca on hold for a while, his defence is great but he's not creating enough variety around the ruck to get us going forward and too often hunt, among others, are receiving the ball standing still from a slow delivery.

He also gave away a last tackle penalty and a lazy forward pass off the kick off after scoring a try.

Happy for jordie, he had a good game.

Scrappy win but good to see Hunt n surprisingly Maca closing out game. Or doing better at it at least.
Thought our inside cover defence was game winning.
Both tries were fortuitous but it's 2 points.
Bet you Bennett's actually smiling.

I was surprised by Kodi's service out of dummy half. It was a bit faster than McCullough's and frankly better than I was expecting it to be. Definitely hope that WB lets this play out a bit longer and see what develops. There are worse options in the world than having Macca on to defend leads and subbing Kodi on for when we need points.

It will be more interesting to see the makeup of the round 3 side, who Bennett sticks with and what changes he makes to the side. I wouldn't be surprised to see Oates dropped for Copley's inclusion.

I thought Bennett gave Kodi some decent game time too, seems a good combo we should see how it continues.

Passes off the ground. So simple but we've been missing it

If I were Bennett, I wouldn't be changing a winning side much. If Copley is back, great, but we need to find room for Oates somewhere.

With Kahu taking some sweet bombs at the back cleanly tonight, I think Maranta has finally run his length. He scored a sitter try but the work was all Thaiday, otherwise he still doesn't have the pace in the open that we need

It was one of Reed's better games in recent times, nothing outstanding but he made some good runs and was in right places when working out of out half to keep the metre gaining up. I doubt he will be dropped to make way for Copley.

That was a tough game to watch. Very scrappy, but I'm glad we got the win.

Milford had some nice touches when he wasn't dropping the ball..

I thought joe was fine. Him playing highlighted a glaring issue for me though... He's our best prop coming through at the moment and he looked positively minute next to Fifita..
