Nobody could have predicted the game to go the way it did.

I thought for sure this would be one of those games that would go to the final whistle and we'd sneak over for a memorable victory. Instead, everything that could go the Broncos way did and it was one of the best Broncos performances of all-time.

I'm a big believer in creating your own luck and that's what the Broncos did. They were committed to every single play and were prepared to go over and beyond for their team mates.

There were so many moments you could almost write a book on all the big plays for the Broncos and all the important performances.

I can't think of one player who didn't contribute. Even Nikorima off the bench had some great touches to help keep the Chooks scoreless in the second half.

It was a dream start. SKD basically gifted us 6 points before some sublime play from Kahu got Brisbane an early double. I must say, it really ticked me off the way Sterlo tried to portray that as a mistake from RTS as opposed to a good play from Kahu. I get that he was trying to find a pattern but it was nearly as big of a stretch as Kahu's. Again, super play and try #100 continues to elude Hodges.

Then the McCullough try...WOW. The Broncos have scored some magnificent tries but that may just be my favourite of 2015. Not only due to the skill level, the effort and so on but just the tactics on show. This wasn't ad-lib, do your best stuff. This was something the Broncos identified at the start of the week and executed to perfection. THAT'S why the team is going to be playing October football.

Even the final try to Oates was a beauty. If Hunt gets the pass wrong, the Roosters go 90m and we're looking at one of the biggest chokes in club history. Hunt summed it up beautifully and Oates knows how to find the try line.

I could keep going on and on but it was sublime by the packs and just as good from the forwards. Forwards were the heroes for mine. Adam Blair...look I got stuck into him on here at the start of the season and I'll cop that I was wrong. I will say that if you looked at my posts on another website, you could see I was quietly confident in that pick-up and thought it'd give Brisbane another potentially good middle forward. When everyone was bagging him, I stayed quiet because I could see the things Morkel was talking about and so could a bunch of other Broncos fans who don't frequent these parts. Tonight was the culmination of all that. He took all the things, all those 1%ers and applied it to his work. Some of the subtleties to his game, the way he'd position his body to pass, to find his front and so on were unreal and he was just on another level.

He had great support though and I can't fault any of them. They all did their job and a few even did more than I ever expected. Dodds, Wallace & Ofahengaue...all impressive.

I just keep thinking back to Round 1. With that virus that was going around the city, all the sick Broncos fans at a packed extremely stuffy stadium watching their team get belted by a premiership team...and walking away knowing that would be us someday.

Folks...we won't have to wait much longer.

My erection still hasn't gone down.

Even if we don't win this year (though this is the most confident I've been all year that we will), we'll win next year. Look at the recent history:

Storm failed in 06, "won" in 07
Manly failed in 07, won in 08
Storm failed in 08, "won" in 09
Dragons failed in 09, won in 10
Souffs failed in 13, won in 14

Wow!Just wow! Would love to meet the bookies who declared roosters favourites . I hope the video refs keep checking all our tries a million times each just to confirm how fucking awesome they were . Bring on whoever !!!

Most betting was placed on Roosters, you are going to see odds like that if most money is on Roosters. It's how betting works.

Bennett did say he thought to be genuine premiership contenders he saw it in three years time, here we are in a grand final in that first year, even if we don't win it, we have more then exceeded what was expected of this year's side and we can only improve and success will come.

What a game seriously, the boys just gave it everything, the crowd was really into it and the atmosphere was the best it's been for a game I have been to in a long time, almost felt like SOO.

I'm just so happy, I don't know what to say.

Still buzzing. Can't sleep. Running so many huge moments from that game in my head.

Then spent a good hour at the chook pen.

Sydney Roosters Discussion - The Chookpen | Unofficial Sydney Roosters Forum

They are well and truly 'caged birds' at the moment all walling in eachothers piss shit and feathers! Feels great...

A lot of talk about JWH going down, Pearce being a poor choice, no leadership or desire and of course that sizzling pass by skd! - then there's ordassity to say boo hoo about the 50/50 skd try after they were gifted the worst of tries last week!

In fairness a lot of credit going towards us by the more mature members. Hunt, Milford and WB earning the respect!

Can't wait for next week. I'm calling it right now cows vs broncos rematch!

We played what I think was the hardest of the finals games tonight. We need to back that up for next week. But I don't know if either cows or storm will have the energy to match us after tomorrow night!

That week off made a huge difference on the end. Roosters lost it for mine in week 1, we definitely were fresh and super pumped to hit top gear tonight and roosters had very little chance. Hunt has been my favourite player since Lockyer left and showed again tonight why he is an immortal in the making.

But every player was top notch and they all deserve the mom..

7/7 for Mr Wayne Bennett please. Everyone's heading to Sydney for next week it seems, but I'm flying from Sydney back to my old home suburbs in the Redlands to cheer em on my best mates massive screen.

Oh **** what a night!

To think I'll be on a plane to the usa while the grand final airs :/

Need to find a way to watch it over international waters haha

I wonder what Milford said when Sutton went upstairs for the Oates no try in the second half.

It was directed at Ferguson.

It's kinda depressing that Mitchell Pearce has won something in his career. Just like it's depressing Gallen won something too. Wouldn't it have been great if they both went through without ever winning an Origin series or a premiership?

geez what a win.

scored some memorable tries as we seemed to have done all season, but the defence went up another level. we were hitting hard and stinging them tonight.

fingers crossed for hodges. i feel comfortable with maranta slotting in if need be, but JH deserves this

yeah that's true, but i guess if it means they continue to be picked it was probably worth it

the greater good
