Shark stadium is a stadium we tend to struggle at. We have a 41% win record there.

I think if we win, it will be very close and it will go down to the wire. But I am confident we can win.

We have made some changes, but Sharks have also lost two vital pieces of their success in 2016 and their best option at fullback is now gone.

We showed how to beat them (and every other team in this comp) in Rd 9 last year - albeit mostly in the 2nd half : constant momentum, relentless ball movement/support play, and crunching defence.

Simples.

We have the players, we have the coach, we don't have any excuses.

Will someone please explain to me why Bennett would want Roberts at right center instead of left? Wouldn't it make sense to put him where the ball goes most often (to the left side) and also to pair him up with Milford? Serious questions, I don't understand. There must be a reason.

Maybe it gives him something to work towards. He's done nothing to show he's any better than whatever option we might put on the left.

Yeah, could be it.

I suppose having him on the right also balances our strike power/speed evenly across the backline.
 
Feeling a bit more confident without Holmes in the Sharks team, I was expecting him to make big meters from fullback and they will miss that. I'm still a bit concerned up front as I felt our forwards were underwhelming in the UK and Fifita, Gallen, Prior (depending which Prior turns up) and Graham could make good work out of it. We also entering life without Parker which will be something we will miss.

Players are fucking robots nowadays and Roberts has played right side his whole career barring games on the left wing early on. He has a right arm carry which allows him to left hand fend the inside man... he is naturally suited to the right side and moving him to the left may make him less effective.

And before the "he's a professional he can train with the ball in the left" you only have to look at Oates who carries the ball in the right arm like 95% of the time despite playing on the left for coming into his 3rd year and being unable to fend off the covering defender.

Putting him on the left may give Roberts more ball but so could actually playing down to the right side.

Agree with all this but found the last part about him unable to fend cover defence ironic
