The evolution of James Roberts

I don't think we've seen the final form of Jimmy either to be honest.. He's thrown some good passes this year as well (Even the ones that resulted in errors weren't really THAT bad, one of them was Kahu's fault for not staying on his wing)

If he continues to develop his defence & passing game at this rate, he may be a pretty handy Fullback in his mid to late 20's, potential successor to Boyd.

Interestingly, a bunch of us were pushing for him to play fullback when he was at the Titans, seeing as he was their best, sometimes only, attacking weapon.

I think we have enough attacking potential in Boyd (and later, Bird) to not need to re-shuffle the decks. And his improvement in defence has resulted in him actually being quite pivotal for us in the centres, especially moving forward if we're replacing Hunt (one of the better defensive halves in the comp) with Marshall (short term) or Nikorima or Taylor.

So TLDR, maybe, but we're not losing much keeping him at right centre.

Fucking concerened about the way he went off. I never heard anymore about his injury did they say anything in ch9?

Ankle injury, x-rays tomorrow. From the press conference

He's had problems with that ankle before.

Jeez, Gillett must kick out with the force of a thousand horses. Looked like nothing in it in the replay.

Somehow I don't buy this ankle injury.. He clearly got smashed in the knee and went down holding his knee.. the trainer then proceeded to test his knee with all the appropriate knee structure tests..

The fact that we're calling it an ankle injury has me even more worried that it's a season ending knee injury

Have a look at how his foot ends up when he's putting it down on the ground.
Yes, he got kicked in the knee, and that is tremendously painful, but it's definitely an ankle issue.

Still don't buy it.. He was on the ground holding his knee and the trainer ruled him out after doing knee structural integrity tests..

The way he was holding his leg, he was trying to keep it elevated.

Tells me it's the ankle/foot.

Calm done chicken little. They have said it is an ankle and the elevation lends itself to that too.

Hopefully it is just an ankle injury, it's a little concerning that he virtually came straight off and couldn't put any weight on it.

It might be one of those things where it's a bruised knee on top of a badly sprained ankle

Hes broken his ankle twice before so its not looking too good. Both times it put him out for at least 8 weeks
