Our defense was poor again tonight, we were dropping off tackles all over the place and/or allowing the offload as well as standing back and waiting.

Moga was one of our better performers tonight and that fucking says something.

Anyways hopefully we are better next week. Maybe we are just settling in to having our captain back after a month out....Hope so anyway.

As a side note ws anyone else watching channel 9 coverage? Goulds' bias against us was alive and well tonight. I actually liked Gould up until our finals game against the Titans last year but tonight he was Despicable. He kept bringing up our game against Souths earlier in the year saying we never should have been awarded the win. Can you imagine if Thurston or Pearce had kicked the winning field goal on their wrong foot. The furious wanking would still be going on to this day and would probably feature in all the advertisements and promotions for the NRL this year.

Let's take a look at the only positives from tonight, shall we? Ofahengaue & TPJ are comfortably, far and away, unequivocally our best 2 middle forwards right now, along with Moose. I'd be very tempted to start one, if not both of them from now on. Piss Blair off to the bench, put him on the Thaiday diet for the rest of this season & next year, turn him in to an impact wrecking ball, he isn't physically capable of gaining enough metres to warrant a starting forward position, he has his values (obviously) like defence, passing, offloads, kick pressure.. but in a vacuum, he weighs about 95 kegs and gets absolutely destroyed nearly every hit-up, we can't afford that in such crucial games, we need reliable metres, same deal with Sims, has his positive attributes, not enough reliable metres.

6. Milford
7. Nikorima
8. Ofahengaue
9. Hunt
10. McGuire
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Pangai Jr

14. Thaiday
15. Blair
16. Sims
17. Marshall

Thanks Wayne, time to make some tough calls old boy.

I was think along the same lines.

To me the starting forward pack just isn't balanced, with our two best metre eating props on the bench.

I would put Pangai Jr to lock with McGuire back to prop for one of Sims or Blair. I want to split up Pangai Jr and Ofahengaue so we can have one of them on the field at all times.

Home...away...wtf does that matter?

This was a chance to solidify our top four spot, and now we will have to battle to stay inside the eight. WE should be the tightly drilled side. If that performance doesn't worry you, you're not paying attention to the things that will cost us any legitimate chance at the title.
You're underestimating the closeness of the NRL. Any team can win/lose from any position and that goes for finals too, refs bias aside. If we make it to the playoffs then, technically, we're as good a chance as anyone. Are we out of the eight good sir?

to me it seems like we just dont have the hunger to be a real premiership threat we seem to drift in and out of games. compare us to a side like the storm or even the roosters.

with a near full squad like we had tonight they are always pretty consistent and ruthless.

we have seemed erratic all season almost raiders like.

for a team like that to win the comp you need a **** tone of luck and everything has to click for you at the right time.

Of course not. But our top four chances just took a serious hit, and that pisses a lot of us off. I believe the salt is well and truly deserved. Should have been up for this game..the whole game, not ten minute periods. I'm not going to give up on the whole season, but don't tell me or anyone else we shouldn't feel pissed off after that garbage.

Yeah....I have no doubt that we have the talent and the ability, but we are really missing the scramble, desperation and enthusiasm.

Thought Sims had a pretty good first stint.
