Bunny's v Chooks Grand Final.
Yeah well, we just beat both.

Of course that won't matter if they're both there and we're not. Need this effort consistently, and it wouldn't hurt to put games away when the opportunity presents.

But, yeah, I'm kinda shocked and plenty pleased that we're still right in the conversation.

That was simply a brilliant performance by the whole team. I'm extremely proud tonight. With what was on the line, top 8 chances, playing home finals etc, coming to Sydney playing a top 4 team, losing our hooker within 20 minutes and then losing Mago for HIA etc, it was just a really tough and gritty performance. Backs against the wall type stuff. Confidence boosting.

Milfords kicking game is really really good. After McCullough came off we stepped it up especially the forwards, in some way it was what we needed because we were too conservative and placid.

Fifita was incredible. Our defense was 2015 like. Our attitude was switched on and hungry to defend and shut them out.

Just really happy with this win and I'm hoping this sparks something in the boys to go all the way.

On the Napa thing, he’s seriously got to change that technique. He’s going to kill himself one day. You can’t be diving in with your head down like that. Surely that come see under the banner of reckless high contact? Commentators all saying it’s an unintentional head clash, and I think that’s true, but it’s a completely avoidable head injury due to a dangerous and frankly stupid technique.
Yep, I mean it is unintentional in the sense that he (probably) never intended to knock McCullough the **** out, or even connect with the head...I don't think he's that stupid. But the tackling style is intentional, because he tries to go for big hits and fly in like an idiot to try to achieve that.

Everyone's said everything I'd want to say, amazing team effort tonight with some outstanding individual contributions also. Fifita as mentioned along with Ofahengaue, TPJ, and Lodge in the forwards.

Just quietly: Isaako with 14 points tonight now has 213 for the season, outright 1st in the NRL. I believe they mentioned on commentary that he's only the third ever Bronco to notch 200 in a season, behind Locky and De Vere. Well done son. Do we have the rookie of the year on our hands here as well?

You under estimate the Napas...

I think fafita has played himself info a starting spot next year.

Good win, played pretty much the full 80 minutes. Losing McCullough isn't so bad to be honest.

Yep....replace him with a backrower and you can hardly spot the difference.

Replace him with a talented dummy half, and we can go all the way.

All of the people saying the Napa tackle is an accident, Johns, Robinson etc.. It's amazing just how much they are missing the point.

One of my pet hates is hearing after an act of foul play that there was no intention in it, no malice. It. Does. Not. Fucking. Matter. In. The. Slightest.

There does not need to be any intent or malice for them to be punished for it. Never has been, never will be. There is nothing in the rules that says it HAS to be intentional.

Accident or not, it's reckless and it's fucking dangerous. Serious damage can be caused if hit with enough force, permanent life-changing damage can be caused. But these people are just not fucking getting it. It baffles me.

If Napa is not suspended, then there needs to be an investigation into the MRC.

The Napa incident was definitely a turning point in the game, IMO.

We were too conservative beforehand, just going through the motions really. The Roosters were getting over the top of us and had the momentum. Then Napa takes out Macca and from then on, we lifted and went up another gear. Our forwards were running with more intent, we were doing more with the ball. It fired us up.

We never really did look like losing from that point on. We scored a couple of quick tries and physically and mentally, we were well on top of them.

Fifita will be waiting a few more years until Gillett retires, IMO.

Everything points to Su'A getting that spot on the left edge next season with Glenn being moved on. McGuire at lock and Gillett on the right edge.

I agree with Su’a moving to left edge, but I think Glenn will be our bench utility, he is pretty bloody handy in that role...

It'll be fucking crazy if TPJ isn't our full term lock soon. Get him laying on on both edges, get him to work on his passing game and keep offloading, and he'll be everything Bird could be there and more, certainly more than McGuire too.

Well, I guess we still gotta re-sign him though.

I think he would be pretty handy in that role. He was quite handy in that role earlier in his career.

But it's looking like he won't be here next season. He still has a year to go but it sounds like the Broncos are going to offload him and Kahu.

Lol, there's an NRL.com article called "Broncos coach Bennett refuses to be drawn into Napa debate" and one of the first things it says is ""I could make myself a headline very easily but I'm not going to do it," Bennett said."
Where the **** are all the normal emoticons? :lupie:
