POST GAME Round 24 - Roosters vs Broncos

Hahaha Brandy saying Trent Barrett was untreated fairly. Is that the same as treated fairly??. Nothing to do with Broncs but watching the after game show

Great win. If we’d clocked off at any stage to give the Roosters a sniff, they have the team to punish us. Complete focus was required in the second half and we came up with the goods. Roosters dominated field position for long periods there, but we didn’t panic at any stage.

Oates does work. Bloody hell. Lots of tough carries off the line.

Fifita has something special about him. Footwork at the line or something. Beats a lot of first tacklers. He’s a talent.

Milford and Nik both with good game management, particularly off the boot I thought. Some of Milford’s longer kicks tonight, I haven’t seen the likes of from a Broncos player since Locky retired. Sure, plenty weren’t as good (a lot down Ferguson’s throat), but he’s definitely improved out of sight in that department.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but can someone explain why the Mitchell sin bin wasn’t a penalty try? From what I could see, Roberts scores eleven times out of ten from there if he isn’t tackled by an offside player.

A very good question here, how wasn’t that a penalty try to us when Mitchell grabbed Roberts? He was never on side and deliberately grabbed him to prevent the try. Roberts was over for all money there
I think they ruled that the pass from Roberts went forward.

EDIT: I should have properly read the post. You are spot on, only a horribly offside Mitchell prevented a try

Haven't seen the Broncos attack look so fluid since Macca was out during the Origin. Let's hope he takes enough time off to completely recuperate.

Only sour note for mine was that shepherd before the Bitchell binning. Excellent performance.

Nikorima just got “halfback of the day” by brandy. On a day when ash “the broncoshq golden child” taylor and cronk played...

What dimension are we living in?! This place has not gone into meltdown?!

On the Napa thing, he’s seriously got to change that technique. He’s going to kill himself one day. You can’t be diving in with your head down like that. Surely that come see under the banner of reckless high contact? Commentators all saying it’s an unintentional head clash, and I think that’s true, but it’s a completely avoidable head injury due to a dangerous and frankly stupid technique.
