2018 Bronco season review.

I don't know why that'd be the focal point of criticism for our season. We scored a lot of points and we looked good doing it too.

Our defence on other hand was about as dodgy as I can remember it being.

If Siebold came next year with Cook and Reynolds we'd win the comp.

2008 u20 players needs a performance review. They are slow and predictable.

Gillett Sua Haas and Bird were missed to various degrees out there today.

Fafita is a gun.

WB needs to accept he is past it.

Boyd - Centre or nothing. Preferably nothing.

Roberts - Tried his guts out to get us back into it but his defence **** sucks

Kahu - Has one foot out the door as far as I'm concerned. Nothing but an injury and defensive liability.

Milford - Has shown improvement in game managment but is still way too prone to brain explosions. Not worth his price tag right now.

Nikorima - Frankly, I'm ready to say byebye altogether. As soon as he's off our books, he's doomed to obscurity just like his brother.

McC - Bye **** bye. 236 games of pure mediocrity. I'd be surprised if another NRL club even picked him up. Titans maybe.

McGuire - Needs to lift in a big way or **** off.

How is everyone hanging shit on Kodi? I can’t be watching the same games? He was head and shoulder above Milford today and apart from a few errors here and there he has been great the back half of this season. Milford has been far more rocks and diamonds then Kodi!!!

It's a season review that means you take more then just the last 3-4 weeks into account and the majority of the season he has shown not to be upto the task.

Darius Boyd - 6/10 - Some games he's 10/10, some games he's 3/10, and it's pretty much an even split between the two with absolutely no middle ground, improve consistency and body language.
Corey Oates - 8/10 - Stay on the wing, keep your head down.
Jack Bird - ?/10 - Get healthy, thanks.
James Roberts - 7/10 - Great when he wants to get involved, needs to get more involved, also, improve defensively.
Jamayne Isaako - 8/10 - Gun, just needs to improve defensive positioning.
Anthony Milford - 7/10 - Gun when he's got confidence, still makes far too many poor decisions, get fit in the off-season
Kodi Nikorima - 6/10 - Great runner of the football, woeful defender, woeful decision making, bench utility next season
Matt Lodge - 8/10 - Gun, just needs to work on his motor and get the brain snaps out of his game
Andrew McCullough - 6/10 - Great defensively, an absolute zero in attack, he needs to adapt, quickly, or be left behind.
Sam Thaiday - 3/10 - Thank you for your service.
Alex Glenn - 7/10 - Reliable in attack & defense as per usual, just lacks any game breaking ability.
Matt Gillett - ?/10 - Get healthy, thanks.
Josh McGuire - 6/10 - Appreciate the effort every week, but effort doesn't equate to quality, improve everything, quickly.

Tevita Pangai Jr - 8/10 - Gun, needs to work out all these niggly injuries.
Jordan Kahu - 3/10 - Don't want to see him in a Broncos jersey ever again, he's a broken man physically, not up to first grade.
Jaydn Su'A - 7/10 - Good building season for Jaydn, should be pushing for a starting job next season, keep working.
Joe Ofahengaue - 8/10 - Gun, very reliable in attack & defense every week, should be starting next season.
David Fifita - 7/10 - Great rookie season with limited opportunities, keep working.
Patrick Mago - 6/10 - Wasn't bad when given an opportunity, happy to keep around for depth.
Korbin Sims - 4/10 - Some great games, mostly shit games, enjoy being the last Sims to wear a Broncos jersey.
Kotoni Staggs - 6/10 - Pretty good when given the opportunity, just needs to keep improving.
Payne Haas - ?/10 - Get healthy, thanks.
Jake Turpin - 7/10 - Good when required, may be needed a lot more next season if McCullough keeps stagnating.

I’d say that he has our played Milford more then milford has outplayed him this year and Milford is probably on 6 or 7 times the amount of money. This milford love and Kodi bashing has to stop. Open your Milford coloured eyes and actually watch the games!

Milford is just as much to blame (probably more considering the amount he gets paid) as Kodi is!

When you talk about value for money I’m taking Kodi every day of the week!

MOST of our issues are fixed next season, barring the halves issue.

We get Bird, Gillett and Haas back into the squad.

Bird to centre, Gillett lock on the same flank can keep Kodi or Milf protected in defense - both are average.

Boyd to centre, Kahu to Wing and Isaako to Fullback solves the issue if Bird goes into lock. McGuire can roam between bench and lock/2nd row. With fresh legs McGuire can be a line buster.

I wish that Maccas game would evolve, half the time his half service is slow and lacks the cracking speed or direct passes. This along with Kodi is our weak point in middle. In a tough game, they just don't have the coconuts to take the game and make it theirs - this is between them!

I thought his attack was first class before his ACL, no idea how a knee injury hurt his passing though.

EDIT: In my opinion our spine for next season needs to be:
1. Boyd/ Isaako (Boyd the front runner given his end to the year, but if Isaako can continue to improve in the off season he's a huge chance)
Halves: Milford is locked, the jersey number doesn't matter, so I'll go:
6. Milf
7. Will be one of Bird, SOS (god I hope we get him), Paix, T. Boyd, Dearden, or a signing if we lose TPJ or Oates or both.
9. Macca with Niko splitting time with him 50/50.

Send Bird to wherever the hell Milf has gone to learn to kick and he could legitimately turn into one of the best halves in the comp.

I'm not sure either, maybe its a communication problem or they don't know each others game, don't know what each other think? Its almost like half the time macca gets the ball, then has to think where its going - rather than everyone being on the hop in sync getting meters.

Outside of the last 3-4 weeks you would have barely noticed Kodi's contributions he wasn't having any real impact from a playmaking or ballrunning perspective and the only time his kicking game has been decent is recently, Milford on the otherhand was contributing much more prior to that and has improved his kicking game dramatically, it's not milford coloured eyes(I agree with you on the money part at least) he certainly has room for improvement to be worth the kind of money he is on. Is there a place for Kodi in the side? potentially yes but he just doesn't have what it cuts to be an 80 minute halfback.
