I'm not exactly dissapointed we have a new coach as i think the change will do everyone good. I'm just really not happy with how everything has played out. I feel the Broncos could have done this weeks ago instead of playing games, which has then in turn lead to every other party playing games.

His first year at Souths. His willingness to adopt new techniques proved invaluable and within one season he had turned an otherwise floundering club back into potential champions. I have to say Souths looked far stronger than the Broncs come semi time. I also think that Cooks' rise to prominence in 2018 had a lot to do with Seibs coaching. How Souths were coached to play off their fast moving hooker was quite obvious. After watching a number of video interviews as well I'm more than confident he has the smarts and the wherewithal to thrive as our new coach. Welcome back to the Broncos Anthony, I wish you all the success possible during your stay as our new coach (Hope you packed your BBQ).

Seibold had a very simple game plan that worked in the week to week club rounds for souths. 3 burgess hit ups then either cook scoot or a sweep to the left for inglis/johnston. Came up snake eyes in the finals.
It was effective however he wont get that out of our pack (except pangai)and he definitely wont get any pace from mcculloch - maybe he might even move nikorima to a sub option to give him some pace out of dummy half cause macca really is turtle speed.
Also he is going to have to rely on nikorima/milford as his last tackle option compared to reynolds ( who is probably the best short kicker in the comp) if sullivan plays he is still well short of nrl standard for kicking... enter tom deardon maybe????
No doubt seibold is educated so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with.

Have to agree with what somebody has posted earlier, If indeed Seibold has leaked this email, its a pretty appaling thing to do and nobody who has bagged Bennett can have a good opinion of Seibold. This whole situation is a complete mess.

I thought Gus Gould and Ivan Cleary were assholes, Bennett is scum. I feel sorry for Seibold that he was put through all this crap when Bennett kept telling people one thing and saying another in the media. Absolute cancer.

Yeah you need to feel for Seibold through all this. Bennett has been on $1m+ a year for over a decade, and has been one of the best paid coaches for the past 20 years. He is very safe financially yet it was him who was trying to con the Broncos out of money to get a double pay packet. Seibold has been an a teacher, an assistant and one year as a head coach on what one would assume was not a huge salary. He has had to figure out living situations with a young family which wouldn't be easy.

From the get go he basically said he was happy to do whatever. He said he was happy to coach us, and was happy to coach them and that he would leave it to the clubs to decide. From reports, it appears publicly Bennett was always saying he was staying, but behind the scenes said other things to other players and clubs.

I'm glad this is over, and I hope Seibold and his family can settle back in to Queensland nicely before the start of the school year in 2019.
