NRL Players and family members in hot water

If he is found guilty, I hope he is sacked. But I have a feeling he won't be.

However, this should open the door for TPJ to make the Blues squad. Surely Fittler won't select him now.

Found guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault is almost a guarantee to be put in prison.

Tpj is way better than debellend anyway. At footy and as a human

I’ve met and been around Jack on quite a few occasions out and he was always a very friendly and happy dude. Super considerate and though he always seemed to be having a lot of fun he was always acting responsibily. Of all the players I’ve met or seen out, he is easily the one I speak the most highly of. Just seemed like an alround great guy. He obviously got a fair bit of attention but would shake everyone’s hands and take endless photos without it ever seeming like a chore. He’s outgoing and friendly to those who recognise him and those who obviously have no clue who he is. He never acted too good for anyone, and among the mass of girls that would notice him and approach him, he always seemed very charming but appropriate regardless of how blessed or unfortunate their appearance. Seems like a very happy go lucky kind of guy.

I’m not sure what the point is to me sharing this. I am shocked by this news and will sick to innocent until proven otherwise. But I also know very well that people can have many different sides to them and the few circumstances I was around him may not reflect all the facets of his behaviour. I don’t have an opinion on whether or not he’s done something wrong and nor should I, but Jack definitely isn’t a standard douchebag NRL stereotype.

I’m not sure why you are sharing this either. Plenty of rapists are ‘good blokes’ in public, not completely sure of your point.

Jury, judge and executioner - all whilst standing high on a pedestal. Great work, but don’t fall, it’s a long way off that high horse.

I’m not on my high horse, I just don’t like rapists. Sorry if that offends you.

Like always I will wait and see before forming an opinion. Like everyone else I do not condone abuse of any kind. I'm not why sure why two guys were invited in at 1 am and I'm only assuming they were invited but there may be more to the story than has been reported. Don't add anything to this, I haven't inferred anything, or condoned anything or made any excuse. Just pointing out that all the facts are not yet known. Being charged though, seems like it's got some legs.

Bit strong that. Soup didn't say he liked rapists. I don't either but until charged and convicted, you know the rest.

Well soup clearly felt that was the inference and I certainly did too. We both could be wrong but the poster directly inferred soup might be offended by the poster not liking rapists. It was a shit post in my humble opinion, a cheap unwarranted shot.

I guess if there is a point to it, it’s that in my personal experience when I hear about an NRL player committing some heinous act, my mind automatically paints them as a stereotypical character. A chad docuhebag, entitled bro type. For me, it is an odd experience to have known first hand a certain aspect of this guy’s character, under situations where you would probably most likely see the less than favourable side of them, and he seemed to me like a real sweet guy. I’ve seen him on the drink, numerous times, around alone and with other players and he stood out as a very well put together young man. Far better than myself or many of my mates act on the piss.

So if he is found guilty, you are right, it is a real world reminder to me that anyone can have a dark side that you may not be able to tell by their public behaviour.

Edit: I definitely am not trying to deny he did it, or change people’s mind about the guy. The courts will decide that, and if he is guilty then he deserves whatever he gets and my opinion of him will be entirely negative. I’m just saying that from what myself and a few people I know have seen first hand, he literally would’ve been the last player I would have expected to be involved in this kind of thing. The courts will soon determine just how wrong I may have been.

I never said soup liked racists, I simply said I don’t and apologised if my dislike of rapists offended him. That doesn’t mean I think he likes rapists, could simply mean he doesn’t like anyone voicing their dislike for another person or group.

I’m surprised that you didn’t realise this given how often you have told us all about your intelligence and grasp of English language.

Fair enough and I appreciate you expanding on this, I probably shouldn’t have said what I said. FWIW I wasn’t meaning it to appear like I was having a go at you, this has all been blown out of proportion.

Righto champ. On face value that's what the words indicate but despite your moronic rationalization and smartarse defence both soup and I could see exactly what you intended to convey. You were being a smart prick.

I’m not being a smart arse, I meant what I said. My comment was in response to him attacking me about being on my high horse. An attack that came unprovoked through a comment that was not directed to him.

Speaking of attacks, I have called you no names so I don’t know why you need to respond like that.

I think the most important part of the De Belin story is that when she came out of the bathroom him and his mate were naked..

Did they sexually assault her to cover for the fact that they're secretly gay lovers and forgot she was in the bathroom? These are the sort of questions that need answering.

Excellent hypothesis. Regardless, the Kevin Spacey defence would certainly find him not guilty.

Police are continuing with the Dylan Walker case even with his missus' statement retracted. They have witnesses. Eat shit Walker.
