They went to visit some kids to show support. What does that have to do with the Falou situation? The issue with him is not that the religion he belongs to has homophobic rhetoric, it is that he himself consistently displays his own homophobic rhetoric. It shouldn’t be this hard to understand.

So how does inexperience cut against incompetence/inability - I'd argue that it's practically the definition of insanity to continue with the Kodi/Milf experiment any longer expecting different results. If we at least bring in those two (SOS and Dearden) and get them ready for 2020 - surely that opportunity to build for a better team next year is preferable to watching this trash effort all year then blooding them next year expecting them to be great all of a sudden.

There was a flash in the pan when the pair had to prove themselves when hunt went down for several games in 2017, since then, they have been mediocre at best with only sparks of enjoyable football. 2018 proved for me that they are not a viable combination, they are too similar and suffer the same weaknesses in both attack and defense. Neither of them are alpha male personalities either, which is a bit of an issue when you're supposed to be driving the plays and barking orders to 110kg grumpy and tired forwards. They have no mongrel and they aren't amazing talents, so what do they offer, meek silent service? I see how well that is working.

Trouble is, we don't have any leaders. That is an issue which ought to have been addressed years ago. When Milford was signed, his position ought to have been FB as a number of us here - a minority - posted, and were flamed for it, rather than have the club - read Bennett I'd say, try to manufacture him into the next Lockyer when Milf and his style of play, his strengths, were nothing like Lockyer's. He is not and never has been a game manager but a brilliant, instinctive ball runner who is best playing what's in front of him without, for him, the strait jacket of game management.

That is when the rot started, and 2015 was an exception to the rule in that Milf played freely the way he always played - he ws left alone and excelled. The fact he can cut it as 5/8 on occasions is neither here nor there. He is not the game manager we need. He is the running FB we need, one that can execute everything Boyd can and a whole lot more, like being dangerous in attack, almost Tedesco-like over the 1st 10m.

For mine Boyd to 5/8 - at least he can organise, and being in the middle with the captaincy and that responsibility will force him to do it ... or just retire.

Whatever good he does at the back - and he does some very good things, he is NOT the complete FB this side needs.

Society is so quick to condemn Izzy for his comments around the subject, but are so desperate to defend Islam & Catholicism which have deeply ingrained anti-homosexual teachings. I just find it really hypocritical.

FYI, Payne Haas is a Muslim, Ben Hannant was a very public Christian. It's nothing to do with what faith the players have, it's what messages they want to put out there publicly while they are signed in a public position with a public company that has to answer to sponsors, fans and as a business must be diverse or they lose a whole lot of money.

They can believe whatever they want to believe but when he's put out stuff like that in public and been given a warning and met with the CEO then goes out and posts basically the same thing again, he's not only disrespecting large portions of society, he's directly disobeying his employer who are spending 1m a year on him and all they ask in return is not be a PR nightmare for them and to play some footy.
