Hahaha predicted top 4 by who? The media? Why do you think they write so many articles about the broncos and talk them up every year, IT SELLS PAPERS! I predicted that Wayne Bennett would have a much better year this year with souths then seibold did we us. Why? Because he was left a better roster with much more experience.

I'm being serious here, I actually think you'd be happier supporting souths. It sounds like you're having real internal conflicts every game. Secretly cheering every time broncos lose so it would somehow feel like validation. You're having real trouble with objectivity.

I noticed you haven't answered me about the broncos 1988-1991? Are you going to allow seibold that amount of time or are you saying Bennett should have been sacked back then?

We are atrocious at the moment but there isn't a lot of answers coming through here, just hurt and lashing out. I'm not sure there is an easy fix, but a few things changed could make a difference to some outcomes. I missed the game and just saw the highlights so I can't make too many observations, but it looks to me like this team needs an injection of new faces to freshen things up.
I'd be pushing for an experienced half from ISC (haven't watched a lot but Scarlett seems to be going well), a utility on the bench to give some zip for Macca, pushing Boyd to centre or 5/8 (not because he is terrible at fullback but because he can lead this team better).
As a coach, I would be drilling defence pretty much non-stop and simplifying the game plan to emphasise possession and playing off the forwards second phase play. Whoever came into the halves would have to have game management skills and a decent kicking game.
I'd be tempted to drop Milford to the bench to use in that utility role, push Knik to 5/8 or fullback depending on what's happening further down with our second string players and promoting either Fensom or Taga to the bench. Carrigan deserves a run-on spot by what I'm hearing from others, but not seeing this game, I'm open to other's opinions on the matter. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
If we keep losing like this, at some stage we'll be better off putting a line through the season and playing nothing but young blood from that point on. We're not there yet, and I hope we don't reach it, but it's looking more and more likely every week.

Yes, that was the exact point I was making. You gave Bennett a few years though during his second stint, as an adult, I assume? You mentioned that they were mentally cooked after the grand final loss and they regressed under Bennett from that point onwards. The club likely saw this and brought in the best possible candidate for the job. I'll ask you again, will you afford him the same amount of time to win a premiership?

We were never a top 4 proposition. We were always a possible 5-8 or 9-11 squad (especially after getting rid of Kahu and Josh).

No I won’t. He doesn’t have any runs on the board to be afforded any leniency. People carry on like we were a basket case under Bennett yet we averaged 16 wins a season. This team should not be 1-5.

You honestly believe that losing Mcguire and Kahu drops us down a minimum of 3 spots on the ladder. Mcguire wouldn’t be adding anything to the side that isn’t already offered by our younger forwards.

We were one win outside the top 4 last year and we signed the newly awarded coach of the year. We should be in it up to our eyeballs

Nah Nikorima is a speedbump in defence and does a lot of suicide passes. It's painful watching that right edge collapse with him there. Thats why Roberts and Isaako never score.

I think Milf is more of a speed bump then Kodi. U do realise that most of our plays are scored down the left cause milf and boyd and majority of our players pass better right to left. Its alot easier for them to do their sweeping play this side.
Kodi looks heaps more dangerous with ball in hand. Milf just steps into players now and has lost his speed. Kodi has betyer passing game but Milf has a better kicking game.

Everyone was riding McGuire off last year for being a hog and taking one out hit ups on the fourth and fifth. Are people’s memories that bad? McGuire and Kahu did not cost us losing 3 positions down the ladder. Kahu was a turnstile at left centre and cost us a fair few tries.
