Round 18 Discussion

Great result for us, bad result for my tips, but **** it I'm 5 from 6

Cameron Murray is a superstar and should be one of the first players picked for Australia. Pound for pound the toughest runner of the football in the game and his ability to win the ruck is second to none. So much was made about Pearce going long to Trbojevic, but it was Murray drawing in three of the Maroons defenders that created the space.

One of those players who shouldn't be in the conversation for player of the decade, but I'd honestly consider him in that 80-90 range based purely on performance.

Haha Melbourne given a nice leg up, there is nothing to say he didn't get that down.

Don't really care who wins this game, but it would be good if the storm can lose by 50 to rule them out of premiership contention.

I wasn't paying attention, did it go upstairs as try? If it did that's a call no other team would have gotten but for the storm.

Is there seriously not going to be anything said by the commentary about Vunivalu just now... came through as the attacking payer and took the legs of someone catching the ball in the air.

To me he should be off for ten... and it's not like it's the first time he's done it he seems to do something moronic and dangerous every game

Yeah went up as a try. There is a hand under the ball but the point of the ball can't be seen and does look like it does get down. 5 minutes later Storm awarded a try that is eerily similar, hand right under the ball and no clear vision of it getting down. video ref only took 1 look at it as opposed to 20 odd looks at the GC try.

Fuckin' dirty Manly fans lol. Turning the lights on and off behind where the kick for goal was being taken. I remember one game a few years back they had a strobe light.

Just throwing it out there, I think Manly could win the comp this year if they stay healthy.

The big test for them will be their upcoming games against Melbourne. I actually have them winning both games at this stage but even so, it was a pretty tight race between them and Canberra for that final Top 4 spot.

If it weren't for a few questionable ref decisions (some right, some not so much), Manly would've easily put 50 on Parra to finish their season...

Why are you silly people in this thread

Wait there’s no live rd18 discussion

Edit 2: in this sub forum at least

Manly are definitely capable of winning the premiership this year IMO. Like us, they have a gun forward pack, only more experienced and more consistent, and then they also have DCE and Turbo to go with it.

I feel like I don't hate them as much as the Roosters or the Storm these days either. Yuck.

I'm in the same boat. I think it's because the Stewart brothers and Watmough aren't around and they don't have any real ***** in the side any more.

Plus how can you hate Des' magnificent mane....

It’s certainly changed hasn’t it . Manly used to suck the most , now they’re alright. Got me thinking...

Less hated teams : Raiders , Manly , Warriors, Knights, Titans, Parra, Penrith, tigers
More hated teams : Storm, Roosters, Souths, Dragons, Dogs, Sharks (although hatred diminishing for sharks)
I hate them the most... but I still usually back them over nsw teams (dunno what that’s about): Cowboys, but mainly cuz of Taumalolo, Scott and Feldt and Queensland
