Not a good season but not chasing the spoon, your the spoon.
Well pagey if mediocrity is your standard then your easy to please . We will end this season at the wrong end of the bottom eight ,if we keep playing like this. If you can't even get it right from the fucking kickoff ,do you seriously think they have a chance . I think there must be more problems at the Broncos, beyond the playing roster. I really admire the Bronxnation for turning up at these games, and I hope like you Siebold can build a better belief in this side . Like Slater said last night ,Melb practice everything , even to breaking down their effectiveness of the parts of how they tackle . They are the benchmark, and as we didn't really aim up , the disappointment is frustrating ,that we have so much talent but play with no heart.

I genuinely do sometimes. I made some criticisms of Boyd last week and about four people jumped on the “mental health” bandwagon. It’s a touchy one because nobody wants to bag someone out when they have issues with mental health, that’s obviously not the right thing to do. But by the same token, how do you allow mediocrity in a position that demands excellence?

Well said mate. To answer your question, you don’t IMO and all parties have moved past that I hope. Anyone that says anything different has an under 8, everyone gets a go mentality.

It was always going to happen. You don't move those players on and bring in as ll these young guys, if you're serious about winning the premiership. Yes Melbourne are the benchmark , but they didn't become that overnight. Seibold did a stint at Melbourne so he knows exactly what they do , so there's hope. I wouldn't say we aren't playing without heart , we're just young.

Giving away my tickets to the Melbourne game next year from season tickets. Its not fucking worth it.

The way Melbourne get 3 in every tackle, 1st holds them up, 2nd grabs the legs and 3rd puts them on their back is fucking disgusting that they get away with it every single time, but its been our fucking kryptonyte for 10 years.

Our right edge was backtracking all night and werent numbering up correctly because we let them pay the ball as fast as they want. Then Cam jumps out and throws as many forward passes as he wants and its a fucking disaster for us.

In attack, Melbournes line is set at 8m (never 10m) and are all ready by the time we play the ball. Huge difference.

Not excusing our fucking awful effort, or kicking the fucking ball out on the full multiple times, or the fact we are literally playing with 12 on the field because lets face it, Boyd is literally out there doing nothing.

From here on I am fully behind the Raiders for this year since we are no chance and I cbf seeing Souths, Storm or Roosters win another comp.

...can I just say; if you are the betting type....put a few lazy quid on Manly to win it...

I dont care when exactly, but if Manly play the Storm during the finals they'll beat them...

This is true. You need to disrespect them. Especially cam smith. Push him in the back when he isn’t looking. They certainly don’t respect anyone else. There needs to be lots of niggle off the ball and big heavy hits in defence. Suncorp is too much of a second home to Melbourne unfortunately. Cam Smith isn’t a Queenslander anymore, he should be boo’d for his antics.
Agreed. You look at the teams that have their number, cronulla and manly. Those clubs hate melbourne and show no respect.

I think our headspace needs to change from "bugger, we have to play melbourne again" to " i cant wait to play them again to revenge that loss". I fucking hate losing to those arrogant bastards time after time.

Exactly. I don’t think the broncos believed they were any chance at all this week and as soon as the kick off went out, the white flag was already at half mast

Do anyone have updates on how Dearden went on Saturday? Certainly not expecting miracles from him when he comes back but, it would look whole lot different with him at 7 & Turpin at 9.

This is one part I was actually happy about on Friday night. Even the casual broncos fan (more maroons, occasional broncos fan) has gotten sick of c smiths shit. Most people were booing him when he was goal kicking after that try from a forward pass, a lot of people picked up on his penalty kick outs 5 metres ahead of the mark, and there were a few people yelling at him to get off the tackled player 20 seconds late.
For all the losses it gives me great joy knowing c Smith will still be remembered as a cheat and a wanker by at least a moderate amount of rugby league supporters in brisbane. C Smith being who he is I'm sure it'd bother him, probably why he saves his best for us...

With the crowd/fans starting to turn on him it will happen with the players soon but it will be too late. The aggression and lack of c Smith adulation from Bird and TPJ would have been very handy the other night.

Lower leg injury...awaiting scans i believe.

Fingers crossed he hasn't done his ACL.

according to the nine commentators, the biggest cheer of the night happened when Smith scored a try ... this is because all queenslanders apparently love Smith, even when playing for the cheats

I think thats rubbish tbh that his mental health issues have anything to do with him playing or not. Its purely and simply a coaching decision. Seibold doesnt see anyone more suitable in our roster. Also, no matter what people think about his on field performances, he is a really good influence around the place. Both Boyd and Glenn set the standards with their professionalism. Difference between them is Glenns body isnt failing him like Boyds is.

There are no doubt fan boys of Bennett and Seibs. I'd like to think I'm in the middle. There is no doubt we didnt achieve what we aimed for under Bennetts las term, but at the same time, we have made a mess of this year and we have gone backwards. That was a far worse performance last night that that Dragons game from last year. Both coaches have made errors and at times big ones, i dont think thats really debatable.

We have decimated our roster, let some decent players go and the proof of the pudding will be next year if it pays off. At the moment, we are flat track bullies and we look a bit clueless at times with our game plan. For me, i'm thinking we should give Seibs the first 10 games next year then look at things, unless this year finishes on a bit of a collapse, then i'd just boot him because i dont see that as acceptable.
Wow, that's some great long term thinking there. Let's just install a revolving door.

Lol.. The team that is winning by 20 points gets a big cheer when their captain and club legend scores, big shock Channel 9. Rugby league commentators are so amateur it's embarrassing.
There was, and is, alot of storm fans at the game and in queensland. But the vast majority of them will disperse in hard times. And hard times will happen. Look at us. Administrations get cocky, luck vanishes, wrong choices are made. No matter what you say about them now the storm could be totally different in 5 years. Trevor from logan is less likely to support a team 100's of miles away if they are losing. The other big thing for them will be a 2nd brisbane team. Broncos won't lose fans, we have a team in our backyard already
But if storm aren't winning and a 2nd team up the road comes along on top of all the maroons legends retiring they will lose a lot of fans.
The best thing that happened to the storm was the piss weak nrl punishment by gallop and Co. People were honestly saying it was harsh hahaha. They lost players, wow that hurts! They just had to get under the salary cap the next year like everyone else! Then they whinged about not playing for points... For one bloody year! They were 30% over the cap for 4 fucking years and they made the grand final every fucking year of those. All these years later they have had the opportunity to carry on from those years of cheating. It's that simple, they have been allowed to grow success and mould a winning club via cheating. Its repulsive, and if they keep getting leg ups once Smith retires I will be leaving the game of rugby league. And so will a lot of others...

Call me queer, but I would like to see Boyd extend his professional influence onto the field.

Geez anyone would think that we had never lost to Melbourne before. Atleast it wasn't a finals game like some of out previous flogging's by the Storm.

May I suggest we wait and see how we rebound over the next couple of weeks before we go writing off our season again.

What a novel idea, can you suggest it to Boyd and the coaching staff.

I don't really have an issue with what Seibold said in the presser... he was basically pointing out what has been said on this forum for years. There is something ingrained in this club when we come up against Melbourne... we kicked it out on the full twice FFS!!!

We had stupid errors that haven't been around since the early part of the season. They came up against Melbourne and collapsed to their knees. I'm glad Seibold didn't sugar coat the loss with tripe like we'll get over it and move onto next week... nah f.ck that make them sit through every second of that loss and show them where they got dominated.

Seibold is just putting it out to the playing group Melbourne is better than you... you want to beat them be better.

Gould saying he is deflecting it to somewhere else in the organisation is just BS. The guy has no idea about this club and took what he said as literal. To me Seibold is saying the club has something in their psyche that Melbourne is just better than them and the only way to start changing that is to acknowledge it, be angry about it and realise they are just a team of players like them and they are beatable...

**** them and be angry about our record against them. They are fucking lapping us... we should be the fucking benchmark not a bunch of expats living in Mexico
