Can you point out some examples? Serious question by the way. I was at work and didn't watch the whole game.

I got home with about 12-13 to go and from what I saw Milford made a try saving tackle that would have got the Panthers level.

Sorry I didn’t see this.

He didn’t contest the ball on a few occasions, letting the ball bounce twice. That and he got absolutely pwnd by Cleary for his try and he was ineffective bringing the ball back. I haven’t checked the stats but I’m certain he’d be averaging the least running meters of any fullback since his time at the back. Not to mention it was twice Payne was cleaning the ball up from kicks, Milf can’t be everywhere but he wasn’t even in the frame. If Boyd had the 1 on his back last night there’d have been a lynch mob.

Hmm sorry if this has been discussed earlier in this post, but how we feeling about the Match Review Committee re:
Turpin
Milford
TPJ
?

Turpin should get a 1 week, down to not missing a game with an early guilty plea.
Milford the same but he'll probably get a fine.
TPJ shouldn't cop anything but will probably get two weeks because he's TPJ.

Good fighting spirit shown by the boys, they were out there to play. Even though he only got a few minutes, Perese looks like a livewire!

Carrigan was impressive, making plenty of meters post-contact. @Wolfie was spot on at the beginning of the season as him being a guy who needs decent minutes each game to truely reach his potential. Seems like he thrives with a bigger workload.

Loved the defence and taking them over the sideline again and again. The look on Klein's face when he had to award Stagg's try was also priceless.

The refereeing was atrocious but I bet the major things talked about in the media will be the Naden no try and the forward pass for Isaako's first try because they are the two that were pro Broncos. I think the Naden try was a no try because he knocked on with the one hand but could have been given in bunker land.

Gould should be banned from commentating Penrith and Broncos games, he just can't help but be biased. Hadley gets almost everything he says wrong, I am going to use the power of mute next game as has been suggested above.

I liked that Boyd had a couple of runs but I liked even more that I didn't notice nearly as many hands in the air complaining and more that's rough on us but got on with it.

Tpj should get a couple. His aggression is awesome and really got to Penrith, but now he has to do it legally as he is being watched for it. His effort on Maloney was obvious and clumsy he needed to make sure he didn't come down on the head or neck ( even though Maloney essentially put himself in the position, I think he was looking to get a penalty because the contact was always going to be on his head or neck when he sat up on the ground). He was also borderline for a few shoulder charges, get the arm out so that it is 'involved' in the tackle and he doesn't get pinged and suspended for that as well.

I thought the second Penrith try was undeserved after the blatant knockon. Their first also came from what I thought was a forward pass.
Absolutely agree, it will be interesting to see if that gets mentioned anywhere.

couple of things...

1. Loved the fight the boys put in...really stuck together in this one and it showed.....they are really starting to grow together a group and they won't take a backwards step no more...take exception to one.....take exception on all...

2. Having said that, a few too many dropped balls in possession in good field position (looking at you Flegs), plus silly and unnecessary second or third contacts after a effective tackle; I can only put this type of thing down to experience...

3. TPJ wanted to kill everything within 20 metres of him tonight...and I love that type of aggression from him....he sets the barometer for the forward pack when its challenged, and once he controls it we have an awesome forward leader out there which compliments the more quiet achievers like Carrigan and Offa....

4. What an amazing feeling to see a sweeping backline play in the opposite 20 for Isaakos try...clearly no-one in attendance was expecting it and thats why it was so effective..!!!...question now is can we build upon that going forward...can we see some more thought and care taken when attacking the line, a few more set plays...?

5. Much like most of our season, I struggle to grasp whether the glass is half full or half empty.....Milf and Boyd swapping roles for instance....now the prospect of Turps being rubbed out for next weeks game means we get a game controlling half come in his place......do you see what I mean here...!?

I rewatched TPJ tackle on Maloney. That twat Klein says " forcefull tackle to a player lying prone on the ground". The assumed fault is that Maloney was prone on the ground and helpless. Go and watch it he was anything but prone on the ground. He was in the process of sitting up and would have played on if he had not been tackled. I think TPJ has been severely hard done by going by Klein's interpretation.

I don't think turps will get suspended. Unless they just watch in slow Mo. Same with TPJ. He threw Maloney down but the tackle was not complete. Maloney was getting up to continue his run and the fall of TPJ was just unlucky to look like a crusher. If Cronk or Smith did that it wouldn't even go on report

No he shouldn’t. Borderline is fine. Melbourne play every game every season on or over he borderline and are loved by the refs. TPJ should keep doing exactly what he does, he fires up his teammates around him and sometimes he will go too far or a ref will get trigger happy to square up games but that isn’t going to change. As for the penalty and binning. It should have been play on and TPJ getting rewarded for a surrender by Maloney, there was nothing wrong with that tackle whatsoever and given you can knee players in the head deliberately these days and just get a fine, TPJ shouldn’t even be on the report sheet.

Haas with his fend on 3 opposition front rowers and then his monstrous run towards the try line with his size and agility could've easily slipped/tripped the way he ran. My GOD, this guy is already an immortal at 19.

Sign up Haas & DaFIFi for life Locky. They both will win games like today for years to come.
I’ve been to training a few times this year and have seen him do that exact run a few times. It was only going to be a matter of time before we saw it on a game. I’m suspecting it won’t be the last.

The guy is a freak!

Watching the replay of the game now, he's even throwing spiral passes out of dummy half!
He’s been doing that for years. When he wasn’t doing it enough, “Macca never passes off the ground as dummy half.” When he starts spiral passing, “He passes too much of the ground. Doesn’t engage the markets enough.” The guy can never win on this site.

....im prepared to admit that Maccas from is improving every game......nothing out of this world mind....but he is currently a serviceable nrl level dummy half so deserves his spot in the team right now..

.....there I said it....

You can't say Boyd was good when he fucking gave away a penalty, on their try line, on first tackle, when we had the ball... Panthers scored just after this too. This turned the whole momentum of the game. Very scary.
Fleglers dropped ball was more of a momentum swinger . We just scored and our first 2 runs were great and he drops it , imo we had all the momentum and it completely turned. Those first sets after scoring are so crucial . This just shows your bias against boyd and Shiba, both had good games. The only issue was our attacking sets it was very pedestrian, not many questions asked. This can't solely be pointed at boyd but his burrow try was a little silly, can't blame Shiba for that.
