Despite the obvious of a painful loss, one which we could have won with factors pointed out previously - genuine halves, spine, attacking structure and execution, not taking opportunities when they were down to 12 men twice etc etc.

We improved the score line since last time these two sides met.
38-6
22-20

Something to consider.

Milf should have a license to roam off these guys. Dearden and Turpins steering from 9 and 7. Not rocket science.

Boyd can sit out his time on the wing with one of the new boys back at 1.

Pretty sure he is supposed to be roaming...... starting to think he is just a bit lazy and does bare minimum

I think Adam Reynolds sitting down and feigning injury to give his side a rest, reset their d and destroy our momentum is one of the worst things I've seen in Rugby league. If that goes un-addressed it might completely destroy the game. The same way soccer was destroyed to a point where they now have theatre training to work on their fake falls and rolling around like idiots. SHAME ON REYNOLDS, SHAME ON SOUTHS AND SHAME ON BENNETT FOR NOT PUBLICLY SHAMING SUCH TACTICS. He likes to blame storm for ruining the game. Yeah they did but this is way worse. And his two little ex-bronco grubs. Disgusting!

Completely destroy the game? It’s been happening forever. I’m injured sir has been going on as long as sir just need a chat while we defend our line can you stop for a second.

See Wally.

We will be a much better side if we can get a calm head.

When they were down to 12 men, the objective should not have been to try and score points. It should have been to build pressure and force them to tackle more. Break them down and then when they get tired due to the extra amount of defending they had to do, then go for the blow.

We aren't a patient side. We keep trying to score points without earning the right to do so, one example was the Cowboys game. We were all over the Cowboys, we were breaking them down but then we started forcing passes and throwing stupid offloads and made mistake after mistake and took the pressure off the Cowboys.

I totally agree matey. But thems the drawbacks when you have a team with an average just over a high school formal and a collective total of games played adding up to God knows what but it must be something that would surely break some NRL records for ‘most inexperienced team to be fielded’.

He @Big Pete , are you able to shed some light on this?

As a Broncos fan I really enjoyed the game. The average age of our boys, makeshift pairing just the overall disruption that we've copped. I'm really proud in general in what they've achieved this year.

Only 1 particular thing I want to cover that I've seen is they show cased that the independent doctor gets his own personal screen to watch the game for potential HIAs that aren't obvious which brings me to the Oates/Roberts situation, as I see it a reckless high shot to the head as it stands should be 10 in the bin and on report while a professional foul causing malicious harm should be a send off. I think I know what the majority on here thinks what it should of been. Anyway that's not what I wanted to cover.

The independent doctor 100% saw what Oates copped and ruled that he didn't lose conciousness because if he did would have been ruled out for the rest of the game which baffles me. From what happened to Oates do you guys believe it affected the rest of his performance? Siebs can only go by what the doctors are telling him so I don't believe any of it is on him. If the independent and team doctors cleared him. However do you believe Shib should have been on for Oates at that point onwards.

Another question worth considering is that if a player is forced to retire the rest of the game due to foul play (malicious intent or not I'll hear your opinions) shouldn't it be that not only the offending player sent off but the affected team being able to call on there reserve bench to cover that player that was forced to retire due to foul play.

Proud of our performance last night. 2 months ago if we went 22-8 down we would have capitulated. At the end of the day we lost by a penalty and some superb goal line defence at the end. Down side is that we have no structure and our tries are either instinct or pure brilliance. Also offloads killed us last night. Plus poor officials missing Jets clear knock on when he goes full length and then they get a pen and shortly afterwards a try. That poor decision cost us the game. Will still make 8th with 2 wins so all is not lost.

Souths played 20 minutes with 12 men and we only scored 2 measly points. Crazy that seibold thought we could just attack the left all night when our right side has been way more potent. How about we mix it up for some variety?

****, woke up and the first thought was last nights game. I don't give a **** about the cat fighting between Souths and the Broncos, I just wanted the two points and a bit of a safety buffer. Our fates still in our hands but sadly I have to admit we can't do anything in the finals.

We might develop a bit more combination with a healthy SOS but Boydy just isn't doing enough at 5/8. That dying on the fifth last night gutted me and a pass or kick had to happen and didn't.

We also couldn't seem to get a ruck penalty for the bulk of the match and I have to put that down to poor reffing. Souths aren't perfect yet nothing was noticed.

Seibold hasn't convinced me that he can or has modernized our attack and love him or hate him, WB overcame the loss of his biggest and best big boys. Bennetball wins again. **** him ha ha

If they don’t address the soccer flopping it’s just adding to the list that is now getting “very long” of reason why I’m loosing interest in this sport.

I disagree, this sort of thing has been going on for decades.
I disagree with your disagreement. Decades ago (and much more recently) play went on around injured players until play went near them... injured with the ball, roll aside and give it to someone else. Injured in defenece was play on... there was no incentive to fake injury. However now, knowing that if you lay down the refs have no choice but to stop play means its an easy way for play to be stopped by a struggling defence, ala Reynolds last night. If this is how its going to be because of duty of care, then protocols need to be introduced that force prone players off the field and burn interchanges. For me its becoming a real issue in the game and needs to be sorted... commentators whinge about reducing interchange to increase fatigue are really missing this as a genuine fatigue killer.
As for that last souths set, its just fucking bullshit.... Teams spend the whole game to play the ball as fast as they can, then that deliberate shit just stinks... not just this game, plenty of others the same. No idea how you fix that one but its fucking ugly and needs addressing.

I've never looked into it, but off the top of my head the Brisbane Broncos circa 2010 would have to be right up there.

So this was after the 'baby Broncos' game against Wests? I don't recall 2010 being a particulalrly young side.

I dont buy the board are involved in team selections one bit, but at the same time, it would explain why they wanted Bennett gone and it makes Seibs a puppet basically. If hard decisions have to be made you make them, you dont worry about PR.

In regards to the pressure comment, we are the Brisbane Broncos, there is always pressure on the team.

Lol @ Wayne making the 'hard' decisions people are begging for. This would most likely be a 2019 Wayne coached side at full fitness:
1. Boyd (C)
2. Oates
3. Roberts
4. Bird
5. Isaako
6. Milf
7. Niko
8. Lodge
9. Macca
10. TPJ
11. Gillett
12. Glenn
13. McGuire
14. Staggs
15. Haas
16. Offa
17. Fifita/ Su'a

And we’d be on 14 wins instead of 10
