Dearden is a fucking 19 year old, he's not ready, he needs a minimum of another year before he can play every week, SOS is going to miss half of next season and isn't ranked highly anyway then we have... Boyd lol. Milford is not a 7 either.

Agree with this. Also if he pans out how great would it be to dominate the comp with an ex-Storm player for a few years while they languish without Smith. We're well overdue to get one up on them.

I said it in another thread but why would any player want to come here? The media scrutiny is fucked. Yes we were a powerhouse and we have good facilities. But if you get injured (Bird) or have a few bad games (Milf/Oates et al) you get fucking torched from all angles. It used to be players willing to take less to play here but it wouldn’t surprise me if it took overs to get anyone here.

And it helps if players such as this are slotted into their rightful spots, not out of position like so many of the boys were this year for one reason or another. Get a solid, good value for money player (e.g. Tom Opacic) playing centre, not bloody Alex Glenn. Buy a proper halfback, not bloody Jake Turpin. Its not rocket science Seibs for christ sakes.

At the risk of sounding like a Bennett sycophant, I believe had he not left we’d be running with SOS at 7 and niko would be at 14 and last year was a holding pattern.
