I'm not sure where the hothead jibes are coming from. I haven't seen him arc up and lose it on the field in two years. If I did I can't recall. I do recall the little grub Flanagan kneeing him in the head when he was on the floor with his arms pinned. At the time I thought his restraint was quite remarkable for what had just gone down.
Agreed. Also see Tallis and Hodges, two renowned hotheads, two captains.
Being a hothead seems to run hand in hand with hyper competitive people as well, which is not a bad thing in a captain.

Yes, the biggest issue is if the Sponsors will accept it.

This is how to get back to being Hated by the Sydney wankers.

Lodge would accept captaincy if offered and Hodges thinks he's a good choice for captain too.

I'm sold, make it happen. It's awesome to see Hodges around the boys wearing Broncos gear, I hope Seibold gets him on the coaching staff in an official capacity.

So much respect brother coming from here! My younger sister picked me up on a word I'd mispronounced for years. The word was commensurate, I knew it's meaning but was saying 'comeasurate' as in co- measure--ate!

I hated it and loved it at the same time ha ha. Worst thing, it was at a extended family dinner, bulk witnesses and embarrassment!

He is a mere mortal after all.

And so the charm offensive begins. Who better to help kick it off than one of our favourite sons Hodgo.

For all the fans waiting to hear some positive changes to the club the appointment of Hodgo as an assistant would be a wonderful step in the right direction.

I know a leader when I see one, he is that!

In this world of PC I’m not sure it’s the best idea. nah **** it, **** you nrl go and hate us more. He’s been pretty inspirational in the way he turned his life around, all I care about is on field performances not this polical shit. So yeah its a yes from me.

I've voted not sure as I'm not sure he should be captain, but I wouldn't have a problem if he was captain either.

He has reformed himself, and he deserves to be given a chance.

I just have one question.
If lodge is made captain who takes over when he is not on the field because he doesn’t play the full 80 minutes?

Let’s be realistic for a second. This club is a workplace and we are asking for him to potentially be its COO/Manager with that persons record.

In most workplaces it wouldn’t fly and it can’t fly here. He can be a leader on the field just not off it. The club needs to get back to what made it great which was respect, performance and profitability. All three of those are at risk right now.

If it comes down to making tactical decisions and leading the team, Milford imo. If he isn't doing that, we aren't winning anyway most of the time. He can actually be pretty inspiring when he wants to.

I don't know if I want Lodge, but I would be okay with it if that was the decision made.

No. We have enough negative attention atm. Why invite the media to rehash everything. Not good for Lodge either. Unusually, I agree with Gus. Glenn if he stays, if not Milford. Make or break. If Milford is not ready to lead next year on the money he is on he can go out the door with Bird, Boyd, Macca and Gillett.
You know what gets rid of the attention? Winning

Yeah but when they do it will fall on Lodge to address it at every conference. He's played 50 odd games. He doesn't need more pressure. I think he should be allowed to keep doing what he is doing. Give him a leadership role within the team but not the figurehead. Also, why piss off sponsors who are already weighing up whether to stick with our club in its current state.
Then **** em. Sponsors might actually love it since their brands will be on more news coverage.

If our club had a mantra right now it would be 'beggars can't be choosers'

For Matt Lodge in particular it would be 'the inmates are running the asylum'

No way should he be captain. This club is a joke now.

I want to support the Titans.
