Today I said, guess who is going to be the next broncos captain... she said who?... and I said Matt lodge and she looked at me in disbelief and said the New York guy?

So yeah I think its a big deal as there will be fewer stories like that one if Lodge is named captain. Yeah people used to hate us... because we were successful. Not because we picked a maniac as our captain.

he may well legit be someone who thinks the club is representative of the community and by proxy, himself. there's quite a few of them around so if that's his stance, fine, I won't argue with it - I just have a very different view of professional sports.

Boyd is useless. Milf needs to concentrate on working out what he wants to actually do in the NRL rather than halfassing it in both positions. I give it to last legs Gillo for a year. I don't think he was as bad as some of the talk on here suggests, and gives another 12 months for the young brigade to come through and mature.

You raise a fair point there. If we feel we have a few excellent long term leaders, throwing in a short termer doesnt really help anyone plus also creates issue with removing the captaincy - few people willingly relinquish it without retiring or going elsewhere.
