I suspect we'll see two Middle Forwards, Paix as the Utility and then either Herbie or Ben Te'o as the final Bench spot. We have so many minutes in all five of our Middle Forwards that carrying just two on the Bench will not be an issue carrying that workload. Glenn can get through 80 in a canter and Hopoate could manage it too, but Te'o would be useful in spelling Hoppa if necessary and could also cover a backline spot in the event of injury. Herbie would fill that same role if he was picked too.

So the side would look like:

1. Isaako
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Boyd
5. Arthars
6. Milford
7. Croft
8. Lodge
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Glenn
12. Hopoate
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. Ofahengaue
17. Herbie/Te'o

When did teo sign, did I miss something?

Should we play Oates in the second row during Fifitas injury? We have better depth in the backs at the moment

I can't see what Tesi would offer from the bench. He is still floating between centre and fullback and hasn't really been able to nail one. I think the bench for him would be a terrible option. He is a jittery player and I think he is either a centre starting or no game. He played centre round one and missed a lot of tackles.

I am unsure what they're getting at saying he will be on the bench. Herbie is a much more well rounded adaptable player.

You think Herbie is in our long term plans? The kid looks like a natural first grader.

Oates needs a wake up call or a change of roll. Both might fire him up to produce again. Oates has some runs on the board but at wing, those runs haven’t been plentiful for some time now.

An interview with Freddy he said this pre season he didnt feel inshape or in the right head space heading into the season, but he said he has been training hard and feels good know with the time off, so fingers cross he comes out better then those 2 rounds we have had.

I’ve said it a few times, Oates needs to choose between playing footy or his media career imo. Seems to be more interested in the later.
His form has been been down for years now and continues to tell us he will improve or he hasn’t been feeling that great, bad pre-season etc.
Just let your footy do the talking.
I’d hate to lose someone like Herbie and keep a half committed Oates. Maybe a scenery change to NQ or GC is what is needed for him.

Team List Tuesday is finally here again

Should good to have Cronk playing for us, when did we sign him?

Broncos forward leader Matt Lodge has been cleared to play in Thursday night’s blockbuster clash with Parramatta at Suncorp Stadium.

Lodge has working overtime to return from a knee injury and has won the race to play against the Eels, with coach Anthony Seibold saying the big prop will come off the bench.

“We expect him to play, so it’s good for us – he’s a leader in our group and he’ll make a real impact,” said Seibold.

“He’s a physical sort of player and that’s why we like him, so he’s a good in for us.”

100% agree he needs to lift the game, I think it was the year before last, but could have been last year. I remember him starting off guns blazing, creating line breaks at will but got injured a few games in, after that he was pretty rubbish. even his metre eating was poor. I hope this break sees him back in that form consistently or I wouldn't be too sad to see hi move on.
