I really think WB to the Broncos in some form of football role (not head coach) is gaining traction for 2021, with Kevvie as head coach.
Wayne today in his presser didn’t shut down the talks at all. In fact kind of led me to believe he wants to come back.
I do think that there would be some conditions however.
I cannot see Ikin and WB working together, so you may find there are motives behind this.
He seems to be pulling all the strings at the moment and considering he no longer on talking terms with Locky, White and Morris, he may just be plotting the ultimate f u to the current board.
Honestly, who would know what Wayne is upto. I don’t think Wayne knows half the time tbh..

bit hard to return when you're not on speaking terms with half the board and the prospective CEO

Like him or not, I think Wayne has continuously showed himself to be the smartest guy in the room. He plays the media like a fiddle, he wins most of the footy politics that he is involved with. I don’t know what his plans are but I’m sure he knows exactly what he is doing.

So based on news / gossip doing the rounds, Bird, Boyd and Joffa out. Milford to fullback and Foran coming in. Bennett as coaching director, Walters as head coach.

So:

1. Milford
2. Coates
3. Staggs
4. Isaako
5. Farnworth
6. Foran
7. Dearden
8. TPJ
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Glenn (c)
12. Capewell
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. Lodge
17. Riki

I still reckon another forward leader / experience is needed but where does Oates go in here?

Especially when he's dealing with some proper lightweights in that area like Paul White and Karl Morris. Total mismatch of class, much like watching the Broncos in 2020.

Bennett back as coaching director plus taking the reins of the Qld team giving him and his ego a solo coaching gig for part of the year as well as giving the Broncos club direct access to Qld players for a nudge our way and introducing the passion of Walters back into the club getting the current players more involved with the club legends and a solid coaching supporting staff...i'd take this scenario right now, sign me up.

Milford at Fullback I'm not sure about. Most of the Fullbacks playing at the moment have the ability to bust through tackles. A lot of upper body strength. Even Matt Dufty who is quite small has strong upper body strength.
Milford struggles there last year.
