Who should it be?

Why do people keep saying give Bellamy a blank chq?? He is not motivated by money at this stage of his career or life.
It's the greatest piece of BS to think the Broncos can just go "here is a truck full of money" and players coaches CEOs and whoever else will drop everything they are are doing and come running to us.
Everyone is motivated by money. You seriously think he will turn down an offer of lets say 6-7m over 3 years?

Maybe they will try KW as head coach and try to talk PG into an assistant role.

Lol. Paul Green would never do that. He's not that desperate. His next job will be as a head coach whether at the Broncos or elsewhere.

Badel is reporting we are putting together ‘an elite coaching squadron’.

Cartwright, Henry, Kearney to assist either Green or Walters... 😂

firstly, he only came up with that article after reading @Sproj's post

secondly, i'm not sure about Cartwright ... but both Henry and Kearney would make excellent assistants

> Bellamy-Smith
Who would seriously be successful without the other?

Why are people knocking wanting to have quality assistant coaches?

I'm not. Quality is the key, and not an army. For example, for mine, Kearney as one assistant focusing on defence, someone to focus on the forwards (Parker say) with Walters looking at attack, and specifically halves and the spine. It would also be good to have someone looking at FB play, similar to the work Slater does with Paps. That should be enough.

I have no doubt Flanno can coach but, my thoughts are, he suspected or knew. What head coach lets his players inject anything without taking it to wada or the NRL and getting it cleared. The message was loud and clear, DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN YOUR BODY WITHOUT KNOWING.
With all of the info available to them at the time the ONLY thing he had to do was pick up a phone and check or delegate that task to make sure he wasn't putting his players at risk or the club or himself in the firing line.
Plausible deniability is the only logical answer.
His actions since show he thinks he can make his own rules.

Having said that I think we all deserve the chance to show we have learned from our mistakes. When he does his time I am sure he will pick up a head coaching position. Quality proven coaches are few and far between.
Didn't Gallen contact ASADA? I thought I read somewhere he got it okayed. Could be wrong. Another thing is head coaches have very little to do with the sports medicine side of things, it's not their area of expertise. From what I understand coaches coach and the medical side is covered by qualified medical staff.

Even if Flanagan knew it doesn't mean he thought the club had done something wrong AT THE TIME. Sure, he might have received info later, possibly much later and thought , ****, best keep mum about this and hope it blows over. However, he may not have thought anything was wrong at the time.

Given that Manly had been using Dank for years prior Flanagan possibly assumed he was fully qualified and 100% legit, he may have even been well known in the sports medicine field and was openly working with Essendon too.

I don't have an issue with Flanagan being suspended for breaching his punishment conditions although I do think it was pretty harsh for the crime.

Hilarious. Keep on digging. How deep do you need to go to keep justifying it? Any other team and you'd be as sceptical as the rest of us as to how much knowledge he had of the program. So he probably didn't know because the head coach doesn't know what the docs are up to? And even if he did know, he probably didn't know it was illegal, despite everyone being told to keep quiet about it? Then what, even if he did know it was illegal, he probably just thought that because they weren't dominating the comp it wasn't working, so no harm done? And even though there were articles at the time lauding Gallen the 80 minute Origin prop, he probably just thought it was a coincidence? Feel free to go off your tits again about how I just don't "get it" any my intelligence is not at a level to understand things how you see them, like you always do when someone disagrees. You're flat out tainted on anything to do with the Sharks, you're not fooling anyone but yourself.

Worries me that most of us wanting Kevvie as head coach are agreeing he needs a strong support team.
Nothing wrong with a strong support team, hey Mal, but sometimes I wish we had the opportunity to be interviewing a strong head coach who didn't need one.
An important quality in any profession is being able to recognise you arent an expert in all fields and surrounding yourself with people that compliment your skills and you can learn from.

I think seibold struggled because he had an "i know best approach" and didnt surround himself with people that had skills that he lacked.

not to get into a whole thing ... but if he was "duped by Dank" then we don't want him here, as he is to stupid to be a part of our coaching set up.

my 13 year old sister would have realized that something was suss about Dank
But does your sister like powerpoint presentations as much as our board does? If so Flannagan is a shoe in as well and Dank.

He is guessing, he just oes on what other journos say or makes stuff up.

This all sounds like rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. Pot met kettle. Glass houses, and a mile in who's shoes? I am more interested in whether he can coach. I think Flanagan has had time to reflect. God loves a sinner. I think he would do things differently like most of us if we had the opportunity. Proven people are hard to come by these days, and it is hard to look down on people from the lofty heights of 15th...
