Where do you see him fitting in next year? Bench prop?
Yep. Hopefully he can be on a bit for Carrigan, especially while in attack. Carrigan is an absolute weapon, but as soon as we enter the attacking 20 his is a massive hindrance.

8. Haas
9. Turpin
10. Lodge
11. TPJ
12. Glenn
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. Riki
17. Bullemor

This is assuming JoeO is sent packing and we don't make any signings. I'm concerned about Lodge in the new style of game, I hope this year was just because of his knee issues, because he was barely first grade standard, just so slow.

Yeah I generally agree with that line up. I personally would not start the season with Glenn starting in the backrow. I think he should be used from the bench if anything. I know people here won't enjoy reading that, but I don't care. I think Riki deserves to start and Tevita deserves to be benched. I want to see Oates given a real shot in the backrow.. If he fails then he fails and won't be re-signed. I agree that Ofa should be shown the door.. He's on 600k a season.. Ideally Lodge would be gone too.

A couple of signings (players without contracts for 2021 yet) could really go a long way in making us look like more serious competitors.

8. Payne Haas
9. Jake Friend*
10. Christian Welch*
11. Corey Oates
12. Jordan Riki
13. Patrick Carrigan

Hang on why would you sign Friend when we have Turpin, who is already better than him and 7-8 years younger. Welch is also an average prop doing his job in a good system, when are people going to learn about signing forwards from the Storm. I think only Tohu Harris has been successful.

I have no issues with not starting, or even picking Glenn, but he should be chosen ahead of Oates. And TPJ is too good not to start.

Those who have left the Storm and been good:

Cronk
Harris
Widdop
Grant
Turpin (arguable sure)
Drinkwater
Inglis
Folau

There's a few but yes, not many props leave Melbourne and go onto bigger and better (or even equal) things.

Can we please get Pat out of the lock position. He is a prop who can play lock, not a lock who can play prop. As for Bullemor, with the right development he could easily become a weapon in the edge. If he stays as a middle forward, he is always going to be a bench impact player imo. It suits his game far better than if he is a starter.

Our big issue is we need a Fullback, a five eighth and a hooker because none of ours are good enough ( unless Milf can hit some form )

Article just now in the CM alleging St George contacted Green 2 weeks ago about their head coaching vacancy, to which Green replied, "thanks but no thanks".

Perhaps he has a better offer in the pipeline? Hopefully nothing has been 'promised' to him by certain people.

Poor bugger is going to be disappointed, QLD will need a coach though. In all seriousness that is worrying.

The whole world: pick Kevvie!
Broncos board: tell me more about this green guy?

Ever heard him speak? He is very articulate and a keen thinker on the game. Storm very much want to keep him.

Your point about Harris is true, but id put Welch in the same tier; Storm would not really want to lose him, and his best days a ahead of him. He reminds me of Carrigan, and, as you know, every team needs a whole lot of Paddy..!

Im down with this Wolfie, but who repalces him at lock; TPJ perhaps?

Im looking for the next Cam Murrey or Vic Radley type to put in Paddys place if he ends up in front row.

However, between now and 2022 FA marekt opening up, maybe its Tevita..?

But did you actually read the article...

Basically it says that the Dragons wanted him as a plan B in case they couldn't come to terms with hook.

Also says that there are only 2 jobs he vkvets right now, and he won't take anything else until those positions are decided... the jobs being the Broncos and QLD jobs ... and IMO, he'll get one of them (hopefully not the Broncos gig)

Bird.

For mine we need a ball playing lock with a step, ideally to link with the halves

Definitely Pangai. We need a Lock who knows how to offload, and he is just about the only one in this squad who can do so without handing the ball over.

Ah you're right Foordy, a slight mis-read on my behalf there.
