Where to From Here? Let's Plan for 2021

I think I've seen his name discussed before but anyone keen on Kurt Capewell for our vacant second row spot? Solid defence, bit of footwork and an offload?

A few of us have been calling for it for a while.

Hmm...2022 (aim to get early releases into 2021):

1. Allan
2. Walsh (not sure who goes here)
3. Staggs
4. Farnworth
5. Coates
6. Milford
7. Dearden
8. Collins
9. Grant
10. Haas
11. Su'A
12. Capewell
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. TPJ/Bullemor
17. Riki

Gone: Bird, Milford (2022 unless he takes a 60% pay cut), Lodge, Joffa, Oates, Croft, Glenn, Hoppa,

How do we feel?

I don't like the bench, I feel it needs someone with experience but don't know who. That said, TPJ is likely at Brissy in 2021.

I’ve came up with a conspiracy theory that helps me sleep at night. Kev spoke to all the players. The board had in-depth discussions with Kev about who we want to move on, who to keep, and who to target. Coming up with a clear and well thought out plan.

Then the board gets their friend to do the review The review finds that we need to move on a lot of players and this justifies the club pushing them out and shopping them around. Meanwhile Kev sits back with a shocked look on his face as all the players he secretly wanted gone are moved on while he appears to have no control over the roster.

This allows the club to shed the dead weight without having a new coach come in swinging the axe and having the team turn on him like what happened to Seibold.

White looks like the prick to the players, Kev is an innocent bystander. White moves on at the start of next year and the new CEO walks in and wins the remaining players over.

It’s not incompetence, it’s Machiavellian genius

Thats how it should be anyway!!

With all this freezing on player movements I want to know what the **** Nolan has been doing for the last 3-4 months... feels like he's been on gardening leave for a quarter of the year with zero movement on recruitment or retention.

We talk about clubs being kissed on the dick, but this bloke appears to be getting BJ's from Buck...

I actually think there's some truth to this, although your imagination knows no bounds.

I believe a few players have been fed the review line which is merely there for Kevie and his recruitment team to work together to figure out what they want this team to look like in 2021 and beyond. There's no real rush because we have no idea when the season will start again and everything maybe pushed back a month. What would ordinarily be handled in October is now being handled in November.

I think @Sproj is more obsessed with Grant (and/or manifesting his signing) than @Wolfie is with Carrigan or myself with Turpin

To be fair, the entire forum is with him when it comes to Grant

What's the Secret? lol

A self-help book from the mid 00’s that was basically saying to think about things enough and they’ll manifest in your life

Not really, but then a lot of those self help books would go straight over my head. I tried reading Tony Robbins and found him to be an obnoxious braggert.

It's not a bad line of thinking but I do remain thoroughly unconvinced that anyone at the Broncos themselves was smart enough to firstly come up with a plan like this, and even less likely to be able to smoothly and successfully execute it.

Agree totally.
